Ever since I updated to 10.3.1 wifi has been terrible, had to stay within about 6 meters of the router, tried absolutely every suggestion going......downgraded today via autoloader (first time using an autoloader) so held my breath......I'm now running 10.2.2.1609 and......wifi is back to what it was before I upgraded, been wandering all over the house like a kid with a new toy, albeit waiting to drop connection....but no, not once. I'm one happy bunny....apart from I'd forgotten how big the Apps were on the screen!

    So thank you vdbwork

Cheers Sara, I think you've now proved without a shadow of doubt that is definitely the new OS that causes the wifi issue. Perhaps some of the 'know it all' posters on here that really don't understand logic will take a break with their ignorance.

Nice ! Before re-installing all your app, care to update to the last release and test again ? You can do it OTA ; just be aware, you must at least have more than 25% free Internal Memory before doing so As your device is probably wipe, it will be quick

Proving easier said than done. Phone still working fine, but can't get it to update, everyway fails

Don't have enough space for OTA even after doing a factory re-set, Link gets to about 29% and fails, via the blackberry website, it says Application loader unable to connect with device...any ideas?

    ok autoloaded 10.3.1.2726.....went upstairs....wifi dropped, exactly like previous 10.3 versions....back to 10.2.2

By Any chance, has anyone tried to connect to another device via Hotspot? I tried to connect to an iPhone and it took forever for it to pick up the iPhone or even to recognize it and the service was pathetic. I went over to I more and they say they use their Hotspot all the time and it works flawlessly on all their devices.

If you tell me which OS build number didn't have an issue, i'll try and find an autoloader for it and try it

Interesting thread. I've never noticed a wi-fi problem other than 5 Ghz sucks. I stay connected throughout my house and a little beyond. However, perhaps my expectations are low.

Should the device stay connected beyond 5-6 meters?

WiFi connection reliability has been an issue on BB10 for quite a long time.

Clewley posted about it on his BBM Channels page yonks ago, but as far as I can tell it hasn't been properly addressed.

So is there an official bug report? If yes, then post a link so all those affected can officially complain to BlackBerry.

You see, there are many who are facing the issue but at the same time many who do. I am not aware if there's an official bug report, but there sure needs to be a bug report and those affected should be able to complain about the issue so that the BlackBerry can address it. Now there are many who say that the Wi-Fi connectivity is better with an update to the next build, I am waiting for that update though. But still it's 10.3.1 already, Wi-Fi connectivity should never have been weak.

My wifi loses its signal when others around me with iPhone or samsung retain theirs. Not critical, but their camera is better too. BlackBerry needs to pay attention to these aspects. Sure an enterprise phone is a present to an employee.. but it is also a potential growth opportunity to impress family and friends.

I don't know what the official distance is but before 10.3.1 I could connect all over the house and garden, as the Router was designed to work when I bought it, but after the upgrade I was losing connection walking to the top of the stairs, with nothing in between me and the router
