I know this is my fault, but I wish there was a way , that when composing a text message, when you search for a person you want to text, and select that person, it would only show the mobile number associated with that name, and not the home number as well.. I don't know how many times that I have sent a text message, when I was just waking up , half asleep, that I accidentally selected the persons home phone number, and in doing so, send a text to phone message to their home phone.
I just wish in the option menu for text messaging, it would give you the option for only displaying a mobile number.
Does anyone else find this same problem sometimes ?

You can consider using a shortcut creating app for faster - and correct - texting.

I think this would be a great idea. Although most of my contact numbers are mobile numbers, sometimes I select the wrong number when that's not the case.

Overall I think the whole instant action of texting could be improved. Sometimes i'll start typing a contact's name and it'll bring up the wrong person.

I can see a case for keeping the option as is: a few of my friends have gone to VOIP numbers from their cable company, which allows them to receive text messages.

That is fine, but for most of us who don't really need that , it would be nice to at least have a settings option not to list home phone numbers when in the texting menu.

It's like this on legacy also. I suppose the only use would be if someone has more than two mobile numbers and you need to use Home in addition to Mobile 1 and Mobile 2. Then you might want to text a "Home" number, because it's really a mobile ...
