Has anyone gotten CBC TV to work on BB10?

v 2.0 worked for awhile but now I get video unavailable errors.

Later versions just crash.

Any suggestions? Or am I SOL?

Is this a live TV .apk, if so - have YOU tried Mobdro?

It's the best Live TV app by FAR available in my experienced opinion with these type of apps (look at my name) and it also runs smooth with in app updates. Just need to get it from the correct source and newest as in latest version or it won't work.. I use it all of the time. I will share it if you like. It just very well may have this station as it has so much, free.

I can check first if you like or just share. Say the word.

as far as the respawing goes, I found the offender was actually google maps. I deleted it and the other persistent google processes went away.

Does anyone have an old version of google map, like 1 or 2 years ago. I feel the newer version is so ressource hog that my Q10 has a hard time with it, they keep on adding functionnality that I do not use, i just want plain simple map with audio guidance for the car. I upgraded a long time ago before actually noticing this nice PS patcher thread because it was always complaining about Play services but now that I can patch it would be nice to get and old version back.

maybe I spoke too soon. bbgoogleid and playservices keep coming back from the dead. they stay dead longer though!

I stopped keeping track of it once version 9 started working - although very laggy. And I'm not even using my Z10 anymore.

Apkmirror.com has variants of 6.14.x, there's a .2 and a .5. I don't know the difference.

I also don't know if they kept separate screen resolution variants like they do now. Unless that's the difference between .2 and .5.

Hi, could you please check if the google play is still working ? Today I wanted to install some app from the store, the store opened without problems but after I push install the google app crashed. I could not install anything even update already installed apps. I tried it on 2 phones, same result. App crashes after push install or update.

Verify your security settings. Is installation of 3rd party apps enabled?

Yes, it is allowed. I experienced this today - I thought that some error with android runtime could hapened when I restored my phone several days ago from backup. So I did secure erase, flash again 2205 FW and install everything from scratch. Google account, google id, google store - and the crashes appeared again. When I tried to install some app from store or update - it crashed.
When I returned home, I tested previously used Z30 (for 2 weeks I did not touch this phone) and same problem.

I have a question about privacy, I have a Nexus 6P, and if I use the BB Contacts, Calendar and such, is Google still getting access my info in those items mentioned and skimming meta data. or does it isolate my contact and calendar info if in BB Apps only?

Well, and some idea what to do? On first phone I tried fresh install after firmware flash (without restoring anything), all google apps installed without problems according to procedure - account, gid, store. Second phone was untouched for several weeks and same problem.

It could be, however, why it worked several days ago and sudenly stopped ? So you mean flash again or just take android runtime from fw and flash it ?

I tried to flash android-10.3.3.213-nto+armle-v7+signed.bar from last FW, reboot, still same. Store starts OK, after try to install or update anything - crash - app store stopped working.

Well, it has something to do with google account. I used another google account, set again google id, and than I could install new app from the store ... so something broken is on google side, not in the app.

Hi, having the same prob all of a sudden too. Google Play Store keeps crashing when you go to install/update. Once you can get Google Play Store back up and running after (by relogging into Google Account that this prob hoses), then it just happens again. The only way I have been able to update an app is if I could find it in APKMirror, download the APK and then install. Not everything is in APKMirror though unfortunately.
