How did you patch the app?
Hi Everyone,
First, let me thank Cobalt for all his work, I did all of the setup in Jan '15 and followed the instructions, and everything worked smooth. I recently started deleting some old apps due to not using them, and accidentally deleted the play store. I found that most Cobalts apps had been updated since last january, and I deleted all of Cobalt's apps and downloaded the new apps and followed the steps on the first page.
I'm facing a problem with BlackBerry Google ID, it doesn't want to download, Please let me know if anyone can help.
I patched it with lucky patcher. What type of patch does it need? I tried just removing Google dependencies which didn't work however when it's loaded up in lucky patcher it says there is nothing to be patched. What is it that needs to be patched? Thinking back it stopped working after the newest play store build.

That's the problem: don't use Lucky Patcher anymore. It's no longer effective with the latest Google dependencies.

I had the same problem where apps weren't uninstalling properly. The new OS causes this. You need to install the two android bar files conite talks about around post #4060. Then the old Google Id will uninstall properly and you will be able to install the new one.

OK I need to use gmaps patcher?

It's updated and now called Play Services Patcher.
OK I tried patching with play service patcher. It still just asks me my sign in for Google after opening. Didn't seem to do a thing. That's why I was wondering if it was a Google play books problem. Does somebody have this app patched and working?

Actually I meant to say it's asking me to add or use an existing account. As if I don't have one registered to my phone which I do. Using an existing just tells me that I already have an account being used and then goes straight back to asking be to add or use existing account. I tried using a new account and it does the same thing.

I don't seem to have an issue. I just tried patching and installing the app myself. It loads fine, and signs in automatically.
Do you have Cobalt's Google Play Services installed too?
Ya I have all of those apps with play store and white list installed

Does whitelist need to be installed? I can't seem to get things working properly. I have the 3 main ones installed but am still getting 'needs Google play services to run'
Sorry I read through the instructions on the first page and I don't fully understand what is needed and what is extra for those who know what they are doing!
Thanks
Does Patched GMaps sign in ok?
You need to install and sign in with Google Account app, then install and register with BlackBerry Google ID app, then install the modified Google Play Services app.
You can then use the Whitelist app to whitelist the non-patched version of the apk you want to run, then patch that apk on your PC with Play Services Patcher, then copy that patched apk back to your device and install it.
OK, thanks. So apps I get from Play Store still need to go through the Patcher before they will work? I just assumed the 3 app you mentioned were enough.
OK sorry guys,it's working now.
I must of not reinstalled the wrong file after patching. I thought the patched file would have been copied to the same folder on my phone. I had to transfer it back from output folder.
Thanks

You only need to patch an app if it requires Google Play Services.
Editing my post since I found my solution. If anyone else is having similar trouble, the fix i found was:
Download the BAR files mentioned above > Install Sachesi > Drag the 2 files into the "Install" tab > hold both vol buttons to reset phone > uninstall the original app from the phone > Hard Reset Again > Reinstall the updated Blackberry Google ID File.
Thanks to Cobalt, Conite, and Alexander for all their help.
Hey Cobalt,
after this update all of my Google Apps previously installed and running smooth gone mad. I can't open Spotify, Google Play Store, and some other too. The two or three of apps remains ok but are opening so damn slow. Every time I try to open no matter what app I get a pop up message: "QNXAppLauncher doesn't respond. Do you want to end it"
Any ideas? I'm on 10.3.2.2474 BlackBerry Passport

OK, thanks.
Just to be sure, I need to do that from my computer using the Patcher, right?
Yes.
anyone can send me the link for gmaps patcher to run on mac.
you are just awesome, work behind this is really exceptional. I was hating my bb z10 and now since I am able to use android apps I am equally loving it. Thanks again
