You don't use API keys anymore - not for a long time. No decompile. Use default settings only.

Just make sure you whitelist the unpatched app with 1.0.0.6 and are using Play Services v11.

Without the API and with the default setting of the patcher it works perfectly and the apps can be patched.

Was getting a pop up saying Google Play Services has stopped working. Went on for a day or so. Logging into Play Games gave me an error. Loading it for about the fifth time signed in and now everything is normal.

Playstore is showing up an update and I would like to know whether is there any other software update for my 9983? Loving my bb10. Kind regards

Do not update Cobalt's Google Play Services through Play Store.

Play Services itself should not be causing battery drain. Perhaps another one of your Android apps is trying to use it too much.

Updating to 10.3.3.3057 is unlikely to change anything.

You shouldn't be able to update play services via Play Store. You should not even get an update notification. Updating is explicitly disabled for that app.

Do u think that in a close future microG could be an alternative to Google services; at least for some tasks?

So supposing that yes, microG would be able to offer some compatible services. Would be technically possible to patch apks requiring google services for use with microG.

The downside is that some services aren't implemented, such as the Play Games api or maps api (it uses open street maps). Also, it's checkin method needs a fix to override the screen layout, otherwise you won't see all apps in Play Store.

I'm trying to patch the latest youtube but it always says there is no need for patch.
Anyone who was able to bypass the playservices check on the latest youtube app?

Just found out that I need to download youtube on cobalt's playstore first and not install and patch the apk that the playstore downloaded.

So it is working with OSM?
I wouldn't mind to replace googlemaps by openstreetmap in many apps that currently are showing a map of google.

Alsa I suppose that both services and apps patched for microG and gmaps can be running at same time. ( though it would reduce performance)

I suppose it is in very early stage but I think it is very interesting project

Hello. I have Blackberry Z10, OS 10.3.3.1435. I have factory settings.
I have installed:
com.google.android.gsf.login-4.3-cobalt.apk
cobalt.blackberry.androidID-v1.3.apk
com.android.vending-6.0.0-cobalt-build2.apk.

But when i open "Blackberry Google ID" - and when i add my e-mail google, and password (i dont have 2-etap verification) - i have comunicat: "CHECKIN FILED".
Why?
