Let me put it this way. Why not have one single thread for all of CrackBerry? We could have one long continuous thread constantly expanding for every topic. Would this make things easier or harder?

It's all in one thread because the elements are designed to work together. Splitting it up would cause confusion.

I respect and appreciate what you've done but clearly there is more to it than the first post. Otherwise, there would not be 400 pages of discussion. Some people like me have a hard time installing. There seems to be a learning curve on working with the apks. And people have questions about particular apks. If this thread had its own forum, these subjects would be nicely organized.

It's up to you (and Crackberry), of course. Just my suggestion.

Install and login with 4.3.3.
Install and register with 2.8.
Install Play Services v10.
Update 4.4.4 over 4.3.3 (but don't open).
Install Play Store v6.
Install whitelist 1.0.0.6.

If an app requires Google Play Services:
Download app with Cobalt's Play Store (but don't install).
Whitelist unpatched app.
Patch app on PC with Play Services Patcher 1.6 using defaults settings.
Install patched app.

I've done setting up.

Installed 4.3.3
At first I got an error. Tried to use the option to login using browser and it worked.
Installed 2.8
Also got an error at first (java.io.exception). Retried after awhile and registration was a success.
Installed Play Services v10
Update 4.4.4 over 4.3.3 and didn't open
Installed PlayStore v6
Installed whitelist 1.0.0.6

I was able to use the PlayStore with my Google account. Is this setup OK?

Can anyone suggest an app that I can download from Cobalt's PlayStore that I can use even unpatched?

I tried to download and install Keep from Cobalt's Playstore. I got an error saying it requires Google Play which my device doesn't support.

First download APK from playstore. (you can find it in the download folder)
Whitelist the APK with Cobalt Whitelist APP
Copy the APK to pc and patch it with PS Patcher.
Copy the patched APK on your bb and install it (be sure you don't have keep app installed on your bb before install patched apk)

I believe Cobalt is referring to that it's already whitelisted, not prepatched. You will still have to patch it. Make sure you have the latest version of Whitelist or you will have to whitelist it yourself.

Latest versions of Google Keep crash often on my Passport ("the application stopped" error popup), if anyone can suggest an stable version I'll appreciate it.
Keep works decently via the native browser thou...
