Remove the unpatched version before installing the patched one.

    Hey guys!

Has anybody tried using 'happn' on BB10? I tried patching the app, it says there is nothing to patch. I tried giving the Geolocation API in the Patcher, that didn't help either. I can install the app but it says that my location services are off and sugggests I update Google Play Services. Even if I try doing that, it doesn't go thru. Has anyone of you managed to get 'happn' working on your BB10 phones?

Your help would be really appreciated. Thank you.

I can't go any further without an account, but it seems to patch just fine.

Again, be sure to whitelist the unpatched app with Whitelist 1.0.0.6, be using Google Play Services v10, and patch on your PC with Play Services Patcher 1.6 (with the latest apktool v2.2.2) using default settings only.

Thanks for your response Conite. I think I've done what you're referring to. I am using the following link to get the programs you mentioned: https://mega.nz/#F!lIUWjSSQ!yoLoiNX3PNG3Sef1Fa_fMA

Have there been any updates after this?

    Those are the latest.

    Install and login with 4.3.3.
    Install and register with 2.8.
    Install Play Services v10.
    Update 4.4.4 over 4.3.3 (but don't open).
    Install Play Store v6.
    Install whitelist 1.0.0.6.

Download your app with Cobalt's Play Store (but don't install).
    Whitelist unpatched apk.
Patch app on PC with Play Services Patcher 1.6 using defaults settings.

    Install patched app.

Recently Google Photos was causing a huge drain for me. Manager would state Android usage 80-100% even when Photos was closed and denied access to run in the background. Any suggestions?

Go to the installed Google BlackBerry ID apk, then tap the three dots on top right hand , go to android settings, tap "apps", look for the android app and "force close". Now it wont be draining your battery anymore.

I installed the files and got everything working, but now I'm getting lots of update notifications to use Google Play Services with Amazon Music. I have decided I want to Uninstall all the modifications. Is there a procedure for this or should I wipe the phone? I'm on 10.3.3.

    Just patch Amazon Music app.

Otherwise, simply delete Cobalt's Google Play Services file.

Edit: I'll help. Here is the patched file. Delete your version first.

Thanks, I completely understand why I'd need to patch Amazon Music to use it with Cobalt's tools, and I would be happy to do that, if I cared about the app. But, having spent a day making sure I understood how to use all the tools, including the patching file, I'm just looking to restore my phone to a "clean" BB10 state with no Android apps except the Amazon ones I can't delete.

Typically, I force close all the Amazon apps when I boot my phone, and it seems they stay closed unless I use an app that calls them, which is basically never.

I wouldn't do that on a pure Android phone, for all the reasons that have been discussed, but it seems to save some memory and battery in BB10. I am always surprised at the amount of data and energy used by the Amazon Underground app even when I'm not using it for anything at all.

I find that I prefer to run BB10 only with apps from the BlackBerry World app store. My experience with the Amazon store is that it spams notifications, and tries to update apps to newer versions that won't work.on BB10.

The worst example of this was my old LastPass app for BB10 that was technically not supported but still worked perfectly until I accidentally updated it through Amazon. After that it just stopped syncing even after removing it and reinstalling it.

I just find Android apps on BB10 unreliable and slow. That's not a knock on the great work that Cobalt has done to make it possible for people to use apps they need on the Bb10 legacy platform. In just think that, if I want to run Android Apps I'd be much better off with a new Android phone instead of a 4 year-old BB10 phone!

Well, heck. Since you went to the extra trouble of posting the patched file, I'll use it for a few weeks before deleting it. Otherwise I'll feel guilty!

Thanks for ALL your generous contributions on these forums, Conite!

    BOSS REVOLUTION

This is an app to make international calls at very low rates. I patched it, whitelisted it and everything. It runs just as it does on Android and it even executes the call. The problem is there is no sound. Not through the ear grill or the headphones.

It'd help me a lot to be able to run this app on the Passport because the only reliable connection that I can get at my office is via Ethernet, and the Passport is the only phone I have that supports the OTG's.

It runs smoothly on the Priv, but due the poor wi-fi signal in my office the calls break up real badly.

If anyone knows of a workaround it'll be greatly appreciated.
