i'm having problems with uninstalling Google Cast from my phone.
at first i installed through the Cobalt Google Play Store, but every time I try to uninstall the google play just shuts down... and the google cast still shows in google play as an app that is installed in the phone.
I even deleted the app from device manager, but its still showing in google play..
any tip or idea of whats going on?

You have the runtime bug. Install the runtime update, don't open it, and reboot.

How do i use the patcher?
Because it seems like i need to have the apk files.
In this case is the apk files in my phone when i downloaded it from cobalt? Or do i have to get it somewhere else?

Using Cobalts Google Play store, when you download an android app, it's apk is saved in your BB10 downloads folder on the phone. From there, you can move it to your PC to patch it, then move it back to the phone and install it.

That is a pain to have to download the newest apk for each app when you get Google update announcements.. and then patch each time before installing again. Is that the process or am I wrong? Updates can sometimes happen frequently with some apps. For now, I'd rather just use old patched versions then..

And where do people get their trusted apks? When accessing through Googleplay store, doesn't seem to allow you to download the apk without installing?

You are correct about the process of patching.

Google Play Store downloads the apk first to the downloads folder.

when i use non patched obviously the app ask me for the play services.
when i use the patched version the app told me that security check ( or the phone is rooted ) isn't passed so the app cannot work. There is some work around or i need a Android Cellphone?

Apart from that, yes, you may need to consider a new platform.

Before write the post i didn't whitelist the unpatched, after your suggestion, i uninstall the app, install whitelist.apk and added the ORIGINAL apk to whitelist. But after the patched version installation, still security check error. So you say that cannot be used this apk on our runtime?

Hey, Cobalt If possible could you figure out what's happening to MSQRD on bb10 when I open the App I get an Error message saying that the app stopped. If you know how to fix this Please reply!
