Judge for yourself, but I think the mobile site is better.

Use Google login 4.3.3 instead of 4.4.4.

    I had a strange idea.
On my PC, I installed Andy OS (it's not quite an OS just a program) and what happens is my PC basically is an Android tablet with Android 4.2. It can run pretty much every app from the Google Play Store, as it seems to have working Google Play services.
If there is some kind of thing like that except as an .APK file? If so, that could fix all these problems.

Haven't seen this posted yet in this thread but for those struggling with Cobalts installation this Beta Zone app may guide you.

Thanks to Jope for the heads up, CellNinja for putting it together and ultimately Cobalt for his continued efforts.

Ahh man I've messed up. I decided to try and install the patcher and deleted the apk files of the android apps taken from the play store. I also deleted them from my home screen. I went to reinstall them and according to the playstore they are already installed! How do I resolve this?

In fact I've been doing this with all my previous apps from Playstore or amazon.

    Hi All,
I have Blackberry Passport, Late last year, i was running OS 10.2 and followed Cobalt's Landing page instructions and all my patched apps worked fine. I did thank Cobalt.
About two weeks ago, i wiped all the data from my handset and updated the handset to OS 10.3 and followed Cobalt's landing page again. My Google maps dependent apps were not working. I thought i might have not followed Cobalt's instructions, so i decided to delete all patched apps and follow Cobalt's landing page again.
I just downloaded Cobalt's pre-patched 'Google Account Manager 4.3.3' and installed on my handset.
When i try to log in with my Google id, i get following:
    "Couldn't sign in
    Account already exists
There is already a @gmail.com account on this Android device."
I have gone to Google Device Manager on my PC (https://www.google.com/android/devicemanager?hl=en&u=0) and it shows
"No active devices, Before you can use Android Device Manager, you must have an active Android device"

Could some one please assist how can i log on to Google account manager without creating a new google email id?

    Thank you in advance.
    Sunny

    Thanks Cobalt,
Do you mean, remove existing Google Account Manager Apk file and icon?
I deleted all patched APK files and Google Account manager before trying redowloading 4.3.3.
I tried to search word Google in my file manager and nothing came up.
Could you please advise how to remove existing Google account?

Just uninstall all Cobalt files, reboot, and start again.

Here is the debug log if anyone wants to look at it and advise...is it because of some heavy processing or DB access issue? This is resulting in a sync error after adding an expense entry. Once expense entry is deleted app syncs fine. Running on Z30 10.3.2.2876 app entered into Cobalt's whitelist, patched using GMaps patcher, phone running all Cobalt's apps and successfully patching other apps.

Today I was trying to install an app with the newest play services patcher and I got stuck at the install screen. It was strange, as it would show me the install button and it would let me go as far as the prompt message. After i'd hit Accept it would say "unable to install this app" I knew it couldn't be the Android Runtime problem, cause I had the BBW patch. Tried to install other app, same. I was able to "fix" it by resetting the phone.
I thought it could be useful for someone with a similar issue

Hi guys, I feel like an *****, because I'm reading all the day a lot of posts here and I'm geting really close to have working google login in apps, but it still doesn't work.
    I have BB Classic, v 10.3.2.2836
    I already installed:
Android runtime services(then uninstalation started to work)
google account manager 4.3.3(after trying 4.4.4 and couldn't uninstall it to instal 4.3.3 ;-))
    google id 2.8,
    play store 6.0.0,
    whitelist 1.0.0.4.

Lot of apps, which doesn't need log-in are working fine, BUT the ones which require to be logged-in(i.e. google maps or settle up) simply doesn't work. I tried adding into whitelist the nonpatched apps, patching was done by "play service patcher". Does anybody know, why it can't log me in in the apps?
I was goins step by step with writen here on crackberry by Cobalt, only had the problem with reinstalling google account manager.

Thanks for any reply, which can help.
    Pisky

EDIT: I already solved the problem. I forget to instal google settings (com.google.android.gms...). Didn't know it has to be there to for running logged in apps. It is working now and it is awesome. Going to send some $$ to Cobalt. All of this is really helpfull.

You don't sideload apk files. They install directly.

You rebooted your device after updating the Runtime? You are on OS2876 (sw2836)?
