I have tested it again for troubleshooting this issue and indeed I have to say that pstocks is right about the faulty patched version GP Services.

    1. In what way did you install the GP Services (The newest version) in the beginning?

You updated the newest version over the previous version or you removed the previous version first and then you install the newest version afterwards?

    2. Did you also restarted your BB10 device often and opened the GP Store multiple times?

What kind of BB10 device do you have it now and does or doesn't it work after testing it?

    Posted via CB10
    1. I have now tried it both ways. The result is the same: If Play Store is open during installation of GP Services, then it continues to work. After that Play Store can be closed and opened and it works fine.

    2. But, after restarting the phone, there is the green progress bar for the Android runtime. After that I get only the white screen when trying to open Play Store.

So...I have decided to delete the new version of GPS and reinstall the old version.

    Try at your own risk!

If you have a patched version of C.O.C on your BlackBerry, then it is practically impossible to update it via snap.(A patched apk will never be updated by an unpatched apk and the vice versa)

    Hello Guys,

    experiencing the same.

another question regarding my GMaps issue a few posts back - I've deleted the 9.xx maps and uploaded 6.14 instead - working like a charm, but still, other maps dependant applications seem to use the new GMaps API - is there a way to force them using the 6.14 version instead? I've deleted them and installed again just to make sure...

    Kind regards

Need the patched version of Axis Bank Mobile App.
Patched the Axis Bank Mobile apk using play services patcher from Cobalt. It started working but gave a generic failure when it tried to sms from my Blackberry Passport to the bank. Can Cobalt or anybody help me in this regard.

SMS related to an android app on BlackBerry can be hit or miss.

    Hi All
I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this but it looks like the most appropriate.
Bought Passport and delighted with this brilliant phone.
I have installed the Play Store via the Cobalt route (thanks, quite amazing, well explained) :
My problem is with android apps that require access to the call/sms logs and contacts:
I'm trying to get the following to run properly.
    1. ACR call recorder
    2. DW contacts
Both will install and run fine, neither however correctly interacts with the call log.
I use DW contacts to make notes after calls, the contacts are visible however the calls are not registering.
I use ACR to record calls, the calls are recording (not as well as on android but probably settings related) but the contacts from whom the call derives are not loading.
As far as I can see the permissions are set correctly, it seems that BB is Sandboxing, the very reason I left iOS.
Hopefully there is something simple I've omitted.
or do I need to go the Whitelist route and if so why/how to do this??
    with thanks
    John

Couldn't agree more... I couldn't downgrade GPS after installing it so now I'm going for a tedious security wipe a.k.a. factory reset.

OMG why? Just delete the new one, install the old one and Check In again with Google ID. All should be fine, and maybe a reboot after as well.

Well, tried that and it didn't work... so some sort of issue on the phone. Installation of the old one would fail badly with some error about having a newer version installed. I've been trying to get GPS working for Viber and Skype as well without avail so I figured that this was for the best.
