    Hello Cobalt,

The problem I'm having is with Google Maps. It no longer works. It downloads and installs without difficulty just fine. However, it will not connect to the GPS on my Q10. When I touch the location dot on the map to find me, it asks for permissions to use the GPS (which is already turned on).

    How do I fix this?

I too faced this problem and found no solution except Autoloading of latest OS.
    After Autoloading everything worked fine.

Thanks for the reply conite I do not have an icon named Google Settings, so something's amiss here.

I downloaded the following-albeit not the latest verions
    1.com.google.android.gsf.login-4.3.3-cobalt.apk (Google Account Manager)
2.cobalt.blackberry.googleid-2.7.apk (BlackBerry Google ID not the 2.8 version)
3.com.android.vending-6.0.0-cobalt-build 1.apk (This is another version of the Play Store, not the one on this thread)
4.com.google.android.gms.apk (This is Google Play Services with no icon, I better remove this but do not know how to, or shall I overwrite this with the version on this thread?)

Phone still lagging, overheating, battery dying quickly that did not occur before I installed the above. I need to somehow uninstall com.google.android.gms.apk but there is no icon for this even under google settings.

GPS NOT WORKING IN ANDROID APPS

I've been reading quite a lot of posts of users having problems with GPS in Android apps, even though GPS is turned on in Blackberry settings.

What you should know is, that you have TWO possibilities to configure GPS settings

    1. In Blackberry settings > Location Services
Cobalt's official Google Apps landing page-img_20160106_084721.png

    2. In Android settings: Blackberry Google ID > Android Settings > Location access
Cobalt's official Google Apps landing page-img_20160106_084756.png

These settings are NOT SYNCHRONIZED. If you change the settings in the Blackberry dialog, it doesnt update the setting in the Android runtime and vice versa. This can lead to a lot of problems!

For this reason, you should not use toole like ANDROID ASSISTANT to configure Android features, unless you know exactly what you are doing! If a feature doesn't work (like GPS or mobile data), you should verify the settings in both settings dialogs (Blackberry/Android) to be sure that they are activated.

I have to think your problem is that the file ends in '.temp'.

Just remove Google id and reinstall. It's because you updated from an old version.

Either use the BlackBerry Facebook app, or use an ancient Android version (25.0.0.17.14). Check Apkmirror.

I stopped messing around with FB apps. I use the web page with an icon on my home screen. It works better than any FB app I've tried, allowing me to use all of the FB features including messenging and editing.

Thanks for all of the great assistance here - Cobalt and others. It's great to have Google dependent apps working normal on BB. I have an app that appears to still have an issue after patching - Uconnect Access. There is a location function in the app that allows you to see where both you and your vehicle are - a Google map comes up on the screen with balloon markers indicating both locations. Anyway, the patcher indicated that both Google services and API v2 map support would occur after analyzing but the map is still blank on the patched app after initiation. All 3 required apk's are on my phone and other apps (including Google maps) work great. Am I missing something?. Thanks to all.

I installed the fitbit app, then uninstalled it. Then when I went to go and reinstall it in the play store it gives me the options to uninstall or open. Uninstall crashes play store, open does open the app in the play store which is weird.

Restarting my phone, clearing play store cache, reinstalling the play store didn't help. Any suggestions?

Reinstalling ART fixed the issue. The only annoying thing now is that the deleted apps still show up in the play store for updates. Anyway to remove those?

Well now you have to properly delete them. Delete from the Play Store app.

As stated in the first post, you need to be on 10.3.2.
