2nd. For those having issues uninstalling any Android app's, so they can re-install the patched app check this thread out.

It seems with the last OS update from Blackberry they broke something in the Android runtime. It can no longer uninstall apps completely. You need to sideload the older runtime. Once I did that I could uninstall and re-install Android apps. No longer received error "unable to install this app" when trying to install patched apps.

I just completely removed my Netflix and tried to re-whitelist the apk and then patch it. Still can't get the cast icon. Is it really a Q10 (resolution) thing??

I keep getting update requests to update BlackBerry to current OS after patching with the two android bar files from previous OS 2813 using sachesi . I know that updating will overwrite the files I patched so is there a way to prevent the update requests? It keeps asking me every day.

You must be on 10.3.2.2876. It is well documented on many threads that you can't uninstall Android apps on this OS. You need to sideload the Android Runtime bars from 2813.

Apologies if this has been asked and answered. I've read the first post several times and the last 10 pages here but don't see this issue. I have a Z30, freshly wiped. Have installed the Google Account Manager and Google ID from the first post, as well as the Google Play Store from the other post. The problem is I can't seem to get Google Play Services to work. Initially, it would come back with an error as the installation was happening (Unable to install this app). It now is installed (honestly not sure why it stopped giving the error message) but now when selecting the Google Settings icon to run the app, I get the message "Initializing. Please wait..." and then it crashes.

Versions being used are as follows:

Z30 - OS 10.3.2.2836
Google Account Manager - com.google.android.gsf.login-4.3.3-cobalt.apk
Google ID - cobalt.blackberry.googleid-2.8.apk
Google Play Services - com.google.android.gms-8.4.89-cobalt-build3.apk
Google Play Games - com.google.android.play.games-3.5.17-cobalt.apk (also installed)
Google Play Store - com.android.vending-6.0.0-cobalt-build1.apk

Any help for why Play Services keeps crashing?

The short answer is no. One of the first Requests made of us is that we do not link any files directly. This allows cobalt to modify files as required and to update files easily without messing up anybody's direct links.

Here's a link to the Discussion where you can find the link to download the tool. It's not hard to find, and you should be able to go from there.
