I have tried this a thousand times. I have come to the conclusion that I am not as bright as I thought I was. I need Google play services on an app called chinook book. Ugh.

    Hi
For Wrong Gmaps path : open Gmaps and click on Path tab, In application settings section click browse, then find the Jave.exe on your computer. This happens when you have newer Java installed. The default path need to be changed.
For Lucky patcher: patch the app regardless,
    disregard 'Nothing to patch' advisory

So lucky patcher doesn't remove the Google dependency on chinook book. I seemed to get it done on pc with Gmaps but I don't know where it is now that it is fixed?? Do I just side load it once I find it?

Can't tell you exactly the right path to find it, but it's in a folder under the Gmaps folder. I don't have my laptop in front of me to check, but just go into the Gmaps folder and you'll find it under one of the folders.

Once you find it, all you need to do is get it on your phone and then install it from your phone. You can send it to yourself by email, copy it using mass storage, use blend, basically whatever that can get the file on your phone. Then you find it under the file manager and you install it.

    Hi,

The solution how Google Play Services is working is awesome. I have followed the instructions and now I have a working Google Maps on my BB Classic.

Unfortunately I have a problem with Google Keep. After patching it with GMaps Patcher, it starts perfectly and I am able to use it, but every other attempt fails. Only blank screen and no response from the app. What should be wrong? I'm on 10.3.1.1779 with Google Account Manager 4.3.2, Blackberry Google ID 2.1.1, Google+ Whitelist 1.0.0.3 and Google Play Services 7.5.74 build 2. Keep's verion number is 1.0.312.400 and has been patched by GMaps Patcher 1.3.1.

    What'd be wrong..?

Guess what: the patched file is in the output folder of the patcher.

And a pro trick: If you go to path settings in Gmaps patcher and check the 'transfer to device' option, the app will be pushed to a choosable folder right after it has been patched. Make sure that your device is connected via usb.

RE: the Pro Trick, I didn't know that. That info just made using Gmap Patcher so much easier to use. Thanks Cobalt.

If two different versions of a patched app that works for other people is not working for you, then it is obviously not the apps problem.

Make sure you are on a 10.3 OS, make sure your play services are correctly installed, make sure app is white listed, etc.
