Nice to hear that it works well. I'll update the first post with the new versions later today. Maybe just a word on the new Blackberry Google ID 2.1 app.

This app doesn't just register the device with Google Play, it also contains an emulation of the Google Services Framework. So the breakthrough was not only on the Google Play services side but also with emulation of missing components of the Android runtime.

Post your screenshot of the Google apps that now work. I tested Google+ and it looks like Hangouts can be started. I did not try to chat though.

Remember, that the apps must be patched to support the modified Google Play services.

Google Play Games is not (yet?) supported. There are some major issues I'll have to solve there (signature/SHA1 stuff). Maybe I can build a workaround, but need more digging.

Can Clash of Clans backup now?

And still can't get the Google Photos standalone app to work. Says "cannot log it without Google Play Services". Any suggestions for that one?

Is there a patch I should run on these apps? Lucky or another one?

Hey guys just wanted to say that this whole thread has been super helpful getting google services up and running on my q10.

The only issue I'm having now is that hangouts opens but never gets past signing in. Google+ signs in just fine so I'm not sure where I've gone wrong, has anyone else had this issue and managed to resolve it?

Had a similar problem. It just takes a while. But after it signs in its all good. That 1st sign in takes forever.

Cobalt, somewhat unrelated question here.

Without getting into detail, I'm messing around with some wearables and have made some headway. There's Text Messages (4.3-player-2.0.0_dev.eng.SER) and com.android.sms within the android runtime, and I'm curious if these are somehow tied into the Hub and SMS on the BlackBerry side.

There is visible data being taken up for each, otherwise it would show as 0.00B, and both are running. However, when texts come in on my Passport, I cant seem to grab a notification from the Android side of things. It works no problem for phone calls.

Can you unhide the SMS app like you did with stock Android browser, or have you messed with this at all?

Just wanted to say that I was an ***** and have 2 step verification on so needed to generate an app specific password for blackberry google ID!

If anyone was having trouble signing into hangouts and has 2 step verification on, don't make the mistake I did! Also had to re-install hangouts to get it to log in but it's all working great now.

I use OS 10.3.2.798 , when I install google play store according to the steps in this Crackberry forum , I get a notice "unfortunately google play has stopped" I 've uninstalled and then install it again keep it that way . Please help.

No you're talking about hangouts messages. He's saying the hangouts app won't integrate into your actual SMS.
