.gsf is not the login app, what are you talking about? However, .gsf.login is the login app

com.google.android.gsf.login was the account manager manager app that Cobalt says we now have to delete from our device, but it is not replaced with a new version. I was just wondering why.

I guess the two files (ID and login) are combined now.

Post your screenshot of the Google apps that now work. I tested Google+ and it looks like Hangouts can be started. I did not try to chat though.

Remember, that the apps must be patched to support the modified Google Play services.

Google Play Games is not (yet?) supported. There are some major issues I'll have to solve there (signature/SHA1 stuff). Maybe I can build a workaround, but need more digging.

No, I tried that one. Youtube has some protection that I coudn't remove yet.

No.
Neither does maps "your places". It still conflicts with the Google account manager for some reason. I've been trying to get Pushbullet to work still won't log in.

Help, I can't get Snapchat to work on my phone. Does Google Services exist?




Thank you Cobalt for getting us one step closer to getting all our apps and not having to hear a lot of that **** ever again! Unfortunately, for a few apps that I tried patching, authentication doesn't occur.

So, for example URL Shortener https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...leurlshortener does get past error screen when patched, and seems to connect to my account, but no history is displayed and I can't use the app because I get an authentication error.

Thanks so much cobalt, google+ and hangouts work now, but hangout sms doesn't work. I tried video call to my hangout on note 4, but network is always disconnect.

Appears that it cannot log in -- "contacting server" and times out. Might be possible that some older component failed to remove? How do I uninstall android apps that are not "visible"?

Question: Google+ w/Photos (the one from your ZIP) works GREAT. Almost like on my Android. However, I installed the standalone Google Photos app (which received a massive update from Google in the last few days), and I can't log in. Says needs Google Play Services.

Is there anything I can do, or out of luck? I'd love to have the new Google Photos (and not have to scroll through Google+ stuff before getting to my photos).
