Try the following settings:

Operator Name: T-Mobile
Operator Code: 31020
country: us
Locale: en

In settings, check that you did not enter an email address or password (will be fetched from Google Login).
Verify that your GSF-ID is entered correctly in Blackberry Google ID (should be as you could not browse in the store if it was wrong)

Yes, you can pull it from Snap or have one generated by the GMaps Patcher.

Hey all,

I have done the steps on here and have Gmail and G Drive working well. I had Dead Trigger 2 working and patched with Lucky patcher on my previous Passport but now on my new one after patching with Lucky and Gmaps, the game won't load. And Lucky still says it has Google Play Dependencies.

Has anyone had luck with this game recently.

Just made a discovery about how to get starred places on latest maps and still have google play services installed..

I stumbled upon a thread about new Maps v9.0 ... there was link for for apk.. so I upgraded my maps v 6.14..

Once installed I tried to see if it works fine but was disappointed..

Then I uninstalled google play services and went back to the maps active frame and it started working.. funny thing is once I reinstalled GPS maps still worked fine..

What I do now is pin the maps as first active frame and don't close it unless I have to restart my Passport..

Don't know if it was known before but it is next best thing to a properly working maps app for now..

Gmail works fine if using 10.3+ with gsf v3 and blackberry Google id.

G+ doesn't work as far as I know.

I tried to install Gmail I'm also using BlackBerry Google ID and GSF v3 but can't get Gmail to work I get the Google Play services message and it can't sync.

Have you patched the app, and installed cobalt's Google play services?

I have installed Cobalts Play Services 5.0.38. As to the patching I've tried it both ways with patching or without either way doesn't work.

No problem.

Only way to login with maps is to either uninstall Google play services (which impacts other apps), or use version 6.14. I posted a link for it earlier in this thread a few pages back if you're interested.

Cobalt, I'd also like to share that I was able to flawlessly download, install, and also update an app from the Google Play Store, running OS 10.3.1.1151. I've been using Google Play Services 6.1.05 lately and other than some random error dialogue boxes from time to time, everything seems to work perfectly regardless.

Now I'll just go back and patch the couple apps I've downloaded and updated using Gmaps Patcher and I'll be good to go. Cheers!

Some insights why we currently need Play Store downloader:

Android OS (and Android OS runtime on Blackberry) has a built in download manager that manages all downloads. This download manager has two modes: Standard mode and system mode, which implements advanced features , i.e. downloading and installing apps in the background. This advanced mode is used by Google Play store. It can only be used if the application that is calling it is signed with the system signature. As I can't sign Google Play store with the system signatures, we can't use the advanced download mode.

The current solution is to catch the calls to the system downloader, create a new intent and call Playstore Downloader with the required download information. Play Store downloader then reformats the request and uses standard download mechanism to get the file.

Theoretically, it would be possible to modify Play Store to use the standard mode for downloading, but there is a lot of work to do. It's not always easy to understand code that someone else has written, especially if you don't have the source code. We'll see if I can get that to work.
