    I would like to see a swipe up to close active frames like the PlayBook can.

    Except how would that work? Remember, the list of active frames scrolls up/down when there are more than 8 apps open. If you did this you would no longer be able to scroll to the apps below...

    That UX simply does not work on BB10.

    A long press, followed by a swipe could do the trick.

    Yes I was thinking the same press and hold frame. Active frames will reduce in size than swipe up to close.
