    I think it's really cool showing my friends and family the clock app from the lock screen (swipe down)

    However unless you have the clock app already running in an active frame before you lock the device, the app takes a good 2 or more seconds to load and it seems much less impressive and smooth when you're showcasing the feature.

    BB needs to make the clock app run in the background!

    This is a forum, I'm helping bettering the OS? How can you justify waiting 2-3 seconds for the clock app to load anyway?

    I'm not sure I follow. You still have to unlock the screen to get to the clock app, right? Still mine takes maybe a good second to load up. Not intolerable to me.

    isn't OP activating "bedside mode" by pulling down the shades from the lock screen. I don't see that as accessing the clock. Did OP want to check what time it was?

    If you have the device locked, and you swipe half way up the screen, while keeping your finger on the screen, your wallpaper, and the time of day, appear. It takes about 1.5s so it does kinda look like "i'm swiping, and now I'm stopping...wait for it...boom, time of day, and wallpaper. "

    Is this what the OP meant?

    No he's talking about Bedside Mode... It does take a second or so to reveal itself unless the clock app is open..
