Hi,

I think that some people asked for the same thing yet, but I can't find any post...

I've got a brilliant passport, and so I want to give my Z10 to my daughter. But I want to clean it first.

Before doing something wrong, I prefer ask for your help.

Another question... She has an iPhone 4S; how can we transfer her data to the the Z10?

What to you mean by cleaning it? Are you talking about erasing the data, if so, then go into settings, security and perform a security wipe. If you're talking about literally cleaning it then take some alcohol or something like that, make sure not to wet the phone too much.

And to transfer her data, use an app called device switch, it's available in BBW and the app store.

I recall that you can have the SD card wiped too, but if not, you can always delete the data yourself with the File Manager.

I haven't done iPhone to BB10, since I've only had BlackBerry's, but from the instructions, it sounds like you would go to BBW after your daughter has setup the phone (language select, BBID, etc.) for herself and get the Device Switch app for BB10:

On the iPhone, grab the Device Switch app for iOS:

Connect both the iPhone and Z10 to the same wi-fi network and follow the app instructions.

You're very quick man

Before you do a security wipe on the BB, go to the storage section on the Z10 and format the SD Card. The wipe on BB10 doesnt wipe the SD Card, only built-in media.

Maybee the procedure is a little too much if you just want t give your phone too your daughter but if you want too be really sure to erase your data:
First erase and format your sdcard/ do the security wipe on your phone.
Then fill up the empty space with random data. As there are a few,quite performante, Programms to restore data that's what I'm doing when I sell anything with a 'Harddisk '.
For ex. Just take video with your phone until all space is full, erase and do it again. Put random music files on your SD card...
Or have a look at ccleaner (www.piriform.com) a free programm for your computer which has that function included.
Once overwritten it's much harder to restore your data.
