Blackberry promised the 10.3.4 update but yet still haven't delivered. Can we all file a Class Action Lawsuit. Who's with me??

    Good joke. Lol.

BlackBerry actually promised updates until the end of 2016, where 10.3.3 was supposed to be Mar 2016, and 10.3.4 in Dec 2016.

NIAP took so long, that 10.3.3 got us all the way to the end of the year, with the latest versions of all of the apps, and the latest browser certificates. No longer a need for 10.3.4.

You can always file a class action law suit. It is a very open and probably debatable question as whether you'd win!

If class actions for missing updates were a thing you'd think there would have been a legal battle over BB10 for PlayBook by now.

They probably should have just named it 10.3.4 instead of 10.3.3! Then everyone would stop asking

Yup. Or release the same update again and call it 10.3.4.9999.

We can bombard thier Twitter page with queries about the last update. We need to hear an official statement. This is not fair.

You mean all those valuable "customers" who have not bought a single BlackBerry-branded product after the Leap, Classic, or Passport in 2015/14? Customers who, in mid-2017 would rather get a costly BB10 update over a new BlackBerry?

What's not fair? Some on here commented that because of 10.3.3 extreme delay, the planned 10.3.4 updates were included with 10.3.3. Basically, we got them, but they're called 10.3.3 hence all the 10.3.3.xxxx jokes.

Exactly, BB and other phone OEM don't need loyal customers like that.

Been saying this forever. They could keep all of us BB10 folks happy by just slowly releasing updates with higher version numbers but no changes. I'm sure with enough time doing this, the co-op students will figure out how to add dark hub. Then we all live happily ever after.

And after every release, users with 3 and 4 year old devices will say how battery life has improved, and the phone is running buttery smooth.

How has this damaged you financially?

After all, as has been pointed out in the comments, people holding onto BB10 devices have not gone out and bought NEW BB handsets, meaning that BB has NOT received any revenue from those people.

In one sense, BB would be the damaged (financially) party!

I would buy the Passport 2 with BB10 but there is none. So what am I supposed to buy, yet another but refurbished Passport? If they don't offer anything with BB10 (esp. not with a square screen), then I'd rather receive a costly update. No wonder me and other fans didn't buy anything after the Leap/Classic/PP: you can't buy what doesn't exist.

That's true, but very few people bought the Classic and the PP. That's how we got to this spot. It wasn't the sales of the devices that weren't made, it was the dismal sales of the devices that were.

I'm going to go on a bit of a rant here. This whole "lets sue the *** off of anyone who angers / harms me" mind-set is REALLY costing us as a society.

I caught part of a radio show some time ago. A caller identified himself as an educator who started in Phys-ed then progressed to Principal and then retired into education consulting.
He commented on how 40 years ago, as a Phys-ed teacher, they had all sorts of sports equipment - trampolines, climbing walls, climbing ropes, etc. Recently he had gone into a gymn and found that about the only sports equipment around were balls - soccer, basket, etc.

Why? A direct consequence of lawsuits brought by people who had been injured on this other equipment.

We are suing ourselves into oblivion.

So, do not expect any support from me for a lawsuit.

A new BB10 device isn't in play, obviously.

But if you would prefer a costly software update to a new BlackBerry-branded Android device, you are a net loss to BlackBerry and they are better off forgetting about you.
