What means really slow? Full battery will charge at? Are you using original BlackBerry charger?

my first charge on 10.1.0.4181 seemed to take way longer than before(plugged into computer, not wall charger), but my first charge on 10.2.0.1057 did not.

I'm curious as to why you suggested he do a battery pull? Not trying to be a smart *** or confrontational but you should never do a battery pull. It is not needed on BlackBerry 10 devices. Just hold down the power button until you see the loading screen when it's booting up. Doing battery pulls can cause problems like soft bricking.

It charges slow to begin with, and then it jumps up to = charging rate of 20+ after a few minutes

Yes this works and also its been recommended to hold down both volume buttons until device resets. Yes it takes a screen shot but just keep it pressed down and it will reboot.

Mine seemed slow first as well, but i read on here somewhere to plugin the wall charger then hold the power button to turn off the phone and leave it charging like that until the light turns "Green" and after that it should charge as normal.

Curious, are you using Battery Guru to gauge your charge rate ? I've been getting the very same charge symptoms as you since having installed 10.2.0.1047 this past Saturday...it almost looks as if Battery Guru is misbehaving on 10.2 and is giving out false readings, at least in my case it appears that way !! It used to tell me when I was charging as opposed to unplugged, but that doesn't seem to be working either or at least not properly !! Anyone elase care to chime in ??

Did you just load the beta today?

My z took forever to charge for the first day or so and would heat up significantly.

It did settle down after two days and now I get great battery life.

I think it's working overly hard on day one to index your files, grab emails, get network settings etc that it just eats battery.

When you put it on the charge it's still working hard, just now has a constant power source, so it's consuming the power from the charger rather than storing it.

    Hope that made sense.
