BAR file, while I'm sure would still be appreciated by many, reduces the simplicity in the process.
Funny enough, some people claim Snap was easier to install because it's one bar file instead of three APKs (oh the humanity).

well, the problem is NOW, is that as per Cobalt's instructions, it's not possible to download those apks to your phone...

therefore this app is much much better...

but is it still on the Beta zone?

The app was pulled by BlackBerry, sorry for those who couldn't get it.

Whould you be so kind and post it as bar at any other location? or as APK for that matter... this would allow us to use the single app for grab all those files.

and well, at least for me, the link in Cobalt's page (1st post) is useless as you cannot download APKs from the link

He said, he wouldn't release it. I don't like it either, but what can we do.

I just updated a couple of days ago and I downloaded the apk's directly from Cobalt's cloud storage onto my phone, then installed. The only thing that didn't work quite right were the filenames, which were long strings in the browser that I just renamed to something I could remember and end with ".apk".

It is a BlackBerry Hack on security.
    It cannot . end of.

But since I have android play store installed I can install the poo android app. and I can play with ace ventura. I have no job and no life so I am very happy and life satisfied with that.

I can't see this getting out of beta and in app world... I'd be very surprised if it did.

Is there something I am missing?

Cobalt did make the Blackberry Manager App for Android phones so maybe he could make one himself for BB10 devices, that's providing people still donate to him.

    Hi, I'm CellNinja.

This is exactly the same as following Cobalt's instructions on his thread, but here's why I've made it.

I was using Snap for quite some time, and always wrongfully thought that Cobalt's method needed some hard to follow instructions to get all things running. When Snap stopped working, I had no other choice than loading Cobalt's tools and install Google Play Store. I was amazed at how everything went smoothly, and I thought why did I initially thought it would be a pain?

I think it's because I was messing things up, like patching an apk that relies on Google Play Services myself with Cobalt's tools and installing already patched apk for Google Play Store.

To make sure other users don't fall in the same wrong assumption as me, I decided to create that little app that gives you all the steps and includes all apk right in the app, so it should really be easy to install.

I really enjoy Cobalt's work, that's why I created this app. I've included a link to his PayPal inside the app and I don't try to promote my own apps inside PlayStore app, as I don't want any credits/advantages for Cobalt's work.

If you like my app, please consider donating to Cobalt.

New installs can't connect to Google's authentication, hence no Play Store.

It was not an apk. It was a native app. The bar file is not being made available.

The process is very easy though. I'm not sure what all the fuss is about.

Install Google login 4.3.3, and add an existing account.

Install BlackBerry Google ID 2.8, hit register.

    Install Play Store.

    Done. Takes 3 minutes.

    Yes, essentially...

Main difference is that you need a pc to sideload bar... and do not need one to install apk
