Anyone know how to solve this? I have Verizon. On the notification screen, it shows Wifi as being on, and connected to the right service. But I can't get the browser to go to their 'login' page to enable it. Eg, the top right corner of my Q still shows that it's using 4G. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
You know I've had trouble logging into wifi hotspots since the 10.2 update. Always says limited connectivity can't browse...blah blah...
Wasn't a problem before.
If there is a fix I would like to know myself.
It seems to recognize the hotspot. Eventually I got a Hub notification asking me to login. I did this. It said 'Your blackberry device is now connected to the internet'. But after all this...still on 4G. Overall this is not a big deal...but hopefully will be something they address in a future update. I did not ever have this problem with my iPhone :/
On the starbucks google wifi....if the log in screen does not appear (as it does with my mac all the time), just type in "purple.com" (no quotation marks) into your web browser bar. Yeah, it sounds fishy, but thats what the tech support girl told me to do and EVERY single time I get the log in screen now!!!
Starbucks is currently upgrading their wifi from the aging AT&T wifi to collaboration between Google and Level3. I have seen the issues mentioned above with the AT&T (almost 10 years old) service but shouldn't happen in stores that have Google Starbucks as SSID.
