My corporate environment has a hidden guest Wifi network using WPA2 Personal mode security. My Blackberry Bold 9930 connects to the network perfectly.
I was able to connect my Q10 to this network with every leak up to and including 10.2.0.1725. Starting with the leaks 1743, 1761,
1767, and now 10.2.1.476 I am unable to connect to this hidden network. When I manually add the network and then connect the Q10 states
that it is associated but then the connections fails and an error message says that it failed to connect and to verify the security settings.
The SSID gets a green check mark and the password gets a green check mark indicating that the SSID and Password are correct. I tried a security wipe and did a fresh install and had same failure. I did try all different combination of settings in the Wifi options and nothing solved the problem. I even tried a restore from the last working backup and it fails. I down graded to 10.2.0.1725, restored from a backup from when 1725 was loaded and now it will connect. Does anyone know what changes were made after 1725 which might cause this problem? Does anyone know what BAR files I could load on top of 10.2.1.476 that might make it work. By the way I am able to connect to non hidden networks with WPA2 Personal Mode Security with every leak.
LMAO you're using a leaked beta version. All bets are off, a beta is intended to find bugs and it looks like you might have found one, and because you are using unofficially you have no access to real bug support. The only solution I can suggest is to go back to a version which works for you.
Kris, thank you for the reply!
Yes I did a security wipe and same issue. I am an electrical engineer and I work for one of BBRY's major competitors, but my personal phone is a Q10 and I am aware of the issues and problems with leaked versions. I dropped back to 10.2.0.1725 and all worked properly. What ever the bug is it exists up to and including 10.2.1.476. Today when I noticed the comment that enhanced WiFi was fixed in 10.2.1.575 I installed it and it works perfectly. Strange how some new builds break what worked in previous versions. Now all I need for a perfect phone is to get the speed dialing fixed from the home screen. Hope with all the financial issues BBRY don't let us down on this issue.
