I did a no-restore OS reload on the second to last 10.2 leak and it fixed the issue with me on my Q10 for what it is worth. I also wanted to make a fully-10.2 created restore file and so the wipe help me accomplish that too.

DAMN 10.2.0.1323 does NOT fix this issue!
Have you had a chance to try out the 10.2.0.1371 leak? Any idea if that fixes the issue?

I used that search SO much and Im lost without it. If I didnt have hundreds of Remember notes I dont want to manually transfer to Evernote I would just start fresh but I need them. Dying for a better Remember sync option like the old BBOS and Outlook.

I have 'Google' and 'Yahoo' in extended search options, on OS 1047 (from autoloader).

So it seems to not be dependent on OS. Perhaps region?
What region are the people in who don't have this and vice-versa?

It's an issue with restoring. They are available until you restore settings.
Cant change the default Search Engine in 10.2.0.1047-img_00000757.png

Seems like the restore is the culprit. Too bad. Maybe today's leak will still have it after restore but I doubt it.

Very first options I examined after loading 1443 were those related to extended search. Noticed 'Web' as an enabled choice. Framed Search to the background and performed a universal search for 'test'. Selected 'Web' under Extend Search, Browser launched a Google search for 'test'. Expected behavior. Went back to the Search frame and noticed that 'Web' was now unavailable under extended options and that G/B/Y had populated the list. Unexpected behavior. Hope this helps someone recover their G/B/Y extended search options...

It's always there before the restore, but gone after the restore.

Not with 1323 where I performed an installation without a restore followed by a security wipe. I distinctly remember 'Web' under extended options then, however for some reason, or another G/B/Y never ended up populating the section thereafter. Again, no restoration of settings, or data of any kind was ever performed because I had not backed up the phone previous to 1323. While restoration may have and continue to lead to the loss of G/B/Y, it did not play a factor as far as my situation with 1323.

I had the same thing happen to me on .1323

Installed without restoring, and all 3 browser search engines were present under the extended search tab... carried out a security wipe, and they were gone. Tried everything to get them back, but no dice.

I now just do a security wipe before installing a new OS, not after, and this has worked well so far.

Odd, I did a security wipe (without any restore) both before and after installing 1443, and I still have Bing, Google and Yahoo.

If this was a bug, it could possibly be fixed in .1443

I can't confirm as I didn't do a post install security wipe on .1443... and I don't fancy risking one now either

Finally got around to backing up ALL my notes with Evernote and made a break for a no restore install of 10.2.0.1443 so I can have my quick search engine functionality back.

So I now have the 3 default search engines that work fine, AND the ability to add new search engines, but NOT the ability to access them when I do a universal search???? Its as if I never added them

    I have done the following,
    HARD RESET
    RESET SEARCH ENGINES
    REMOVE AND READDED SEARCH ENGINES
    CHECKED ALL SEARCH SETTINGS

Dying over here. If anyone has any help it would be much appreciated.

Fwiw, I had an issue with my settings on 1443, so decided to use a backup from 10.1.0.4687 when upgrading to 10.2.1.200 .

Running Z10STL100-3/10.2.1.200 using settings from 10.1.0.4687, apps and media from 1443, my extended web search finally works. I also used the leaked link to restore settings.

I'm not sure if it is fixed altogether in 10.2.1.200, or if it was some combination of using link 1.2 to restore and the 10.1 settings making the difference.

But they're back. How bout yall? If yes, did you have to do anything special?

Edit: just like junior, while Google etc is there, I'm not able to add new search engines to the universal search -_-
