I'm having an issue where I can't seem to connect to my router unless it's set to 2.4 GHz. When I set it to 5GHz it doesn't work and I get this message:


Does anyone have a solution for this?

The 2.4GHz band gives you longer range than the 5GHz band ; that's probably your issue... Why would like to switch to 5GHz ? (The network won't be quicker )

It worked now but I guarantee it'll break again. It's not a signal strength issue. I'm pretty much right beside it.

Stay with 802.11b ou g (2.4GHz), avoid 802.11a (5GHz) and always avoid 802.11n (2.4 & 5GHz). True for phone or tablet of any brand. Manifestations can vary from network failure to WPA authentication failure.
