    Here's interesting case.
Got wife's q5 which received update notification (my passport, bought from amazon, sitting o same network - didn't).

But when installing, it pauses the download until I will free additional 1gb...
Cannot update Q5 because more space needed???-img_20150219_233807.png
Funny enough, I cannot free that space as I have nothing to remove.

In total, it tells me that 5gb is used, but when I go to storage details, I see that actually only 2.5 is used and almost 3 gb is free.

No media, no apps are installed.

But I had leak installed previously. Maybe this cocked up with system memory?
    What to do?

Precisely the same with me. I have 6G installed on the phone when I got the message I deleted down to 4.5G and yet the same message asking to remove around 1G Gotta be a fault in the software. What a pain.

That's why you shouldn't mess around with leaks.

This seems to be a very common issue among Q5 users.
Even if we update it via BlackBerry link, the installation process stops at 93%, as many have reported on a Q5 Forum thread.
    Any ideas?

Had the same problem as others with their Q5s (and have never installed any leaks). I ended up doing security wipe (took a few hours) that reset my device to factory settings. Then started from scratch...selecting language etc etc. then I could update the OS. After around 2 hours, I'm now on software release 10.3.1.1565 (OS version 10.3.1.2243) with the pre-installed apps only. I'll reinstall those apps I deleted. All's good though, works smooth BUT bit of a pain to go through.

Although I deleted almost all apps and even my BES account, it wasn't possible to update the Q5 over the air.

Hence, I had to use Link, but this time from the administrator account of my computer.
(didn't work from the user account).

    Took about 1 hour.
My Q5 is running on 10.3 now.

Download 10.3.1.2267 from CrackBerry. It is the official version that you'd get OTA.

Download "SIC Multiwipe" from CrackBerry forums.

Run the SIC Multiwipe (much faster than a security wipe).

    Run the 10.3.1.2267 auto loader.

You will have a fresh new device. Don't use link to restore anything. Link sucks. Just restore your contacts and download your apps and reset your settings manually. There is no use restoring old problems to a brand new phone.

    Enjoy.

just deleted practically everything off my q5 device (including the CB app ), downloaded the update OTA (my network is giffgaff uk), it downloaded and started to install and crapped out installing at 94%. the device then tried to restart the whole process again by downloading the update.

not great!! may need to try the methods described above and see if that works.
