    Flash is dead Dave!

Why not get an iPhone? Wait, iPhone doesn't have Flash, then, just get an Android? Wait, Android doesn't have Flash either. Why not get a Windows phone, wait Adobe Flash will no longer support mobile Flash on any mobile phone. https://blogs.adobe.com/conversation...ash-focus.html

    Helle everyone,
I would have the 10.3.1 OS, but the 10.2 web browser, with flash.
Is this possible ? Did anyone try this ? Would it work to have 10.3.1 OS and Flash into the web browser ?
Is it possible to simple try search " Flash browser 10.3.1 " ??
Many threads have this question and ANSWERS..

That does work, yes. But don't forget that the last android apk plugin is stuck at v11.

If you run a streamer browser like Photon, you can see websites designed for the latest version (which is now at v16).

Thanks everyone, I know that there are alternatives, and they work. I already said that, for example, Dolphin runs Flash (mobile: v11), and I know that Photon can run a streamed Flash (so v16). But the point is having just one browser.

But yeah, I agree with this decision of taking Flash off, as it's a big hole in security. Actually I'm using Dolphin for the moment to visit the few flash-based sites I used to visit. I tried Photon but the free version is limited in time, and for the moment I don't feel the need of buying the full version (at least the free version worked very well).

So, regarding my original question, for, me, the thread is closed. NO, there is no way of getting the "old" flash. There are some decent alternatives : Dolphin (with Jetpack), Photon. And that's all I wanted to know.

So again, thanks a lot for being as dynamic as you all are ! One would hardly believe that the BlackBerry community would be so engaged in their hardware and software

You can put in the 10.2 browser but it won't do anything.

Flash is built into the OS not the browser, replacing the browser application will have no use.

It will act like a slower version of the 10.3.1 browser.

If they were, they still readable and basically discuss the same points as this. Why re-hash a topic that has been exhausted.

IMO the discussions are over because there's nothing more to discuss. Kinda like the South still fighting the Civil War.

So you're saying our opinion that we're frustrated because all of this content is no longer accessible without some third-party alternative is invalid..?

I think that the sentiment is, it's gone, it's not coming back, get over it, learn to live with it, or rather without it.

Not saying that your frustrations aren't valid, just that continuing to vent them ain't gonna change anything.

It sure helps my frustration to see, at least tens, of others agree with me!

Plenty of people are frustrated by the abandonment of flash. Because BlackBerry has been silent on the issue, those people who discovered this change earlier by installing 10.3.1 leaks were the first to object. But now, more people are finding out the hard way that flash is gone, and they're not happy either.

Truth be told, few people are happy that flash will not be supported past 10.3.0. Other threads, which have now been locked, demonstrated the continuing use of flash on many websites, so the primary justification for dumping it is thought to be about BlackBerry's inability to afford it.

So, the leading theory is that BlackBerry couldn't afford flash any longer, and that saving the money associated with flash was of ultimate importance. Related to this idea is the idea that the development resources to keep flash going might have been lost in Chen's job cuts. I haven't seen any official announcement explaining the rationale, but since the native browser with flash works fine on 10.3.0, it doesn't appear to have been a technical limitation.

As for me, my Z30 is still running 10.3.0.908. It works very well and I would recommend it as an option anyone could consider.
