can 800000 bb fans hang on for 1 year and wait for next quarter , till BB returns to profitability ...then implore mr chen to invest in advertising of BB 10 devices (.advertising is nill in india ) ...if need be ,all 800000 bb fans should contribute in funds to save BB 10 os... i lost my z10 ...
No. The BB10 era is slowly fading away and BlackBerry has moved on to Android in a final attempt to keep the hardware part of its business alive. We can still stay with BB10 for as long as we like though, there just won't be any new devices.
There are more than 800000 fans. That's just the number of devices sold last quarter. There are at least 5M, and likely more than 10M, fans; but they don't all want the same form factor and don't upgrade often enough to justify BlackBerry trying to develop more BB10 phones.
If they knew they could sell 10M of a single model in the first year, they would likely do it.
