So tonight, the moon looked lovely here at my cottage. I tried to take a picture and remembered that it was going to look like ****. But still, with a bit of determination and a bit of lighting editing (using only bb10 photo editor), I got some decent photos (very decent for a phone).

Camera isn't really that bad - picture of the moon-img_20150404_212505611_edit_edit.jpg

As you can see, some of the details on the moon are visible

I was going try but it was cloudy with flurries. Nice shots. Even a regular full moon can be tough to focus without some skill.

Yup it was very hard. Most or my pictures turned out very bright so you couldn't see anything

Save these photos, print them out and in 10 years from now, take another photo of the moon with a new BlackBerry and see the result

I love comparing my old phone cameras to new devices (3 years apart)

First of all, the moon isn't an easy thing to shoot, since the exposure will be off if you rely on an automated exposure. No phone camera will get a good shot unless you can change exposure. I will shoot it when I get a chance using a third party app too see how that goes and post. The camera isn't as bad as people say it is, but the majority of people don't understand photography in general.

That's why I said the camera's pretty good. Since it took a decently clear pic of the moon

Thanks! This was taken in Barbados. My real camera's battery had died and I was relegated to using the phone. This was an interesting use of natural building material. Very unique.

PHughes, just out of curiosity, did you do the post-processing on your computer or in-phone? The range of black and white tones is excellent.

Thanks. I hadn't tried the in-phone editing - looks great.
