    Hi all,
Does anyone know whether os 10.2.1 includes the ability to whitelist/ blacklist call and SMS numbers? It seems a pretty basic facility for an os centred around security and privacy. Even Nokia have baked this facility into their Lucia phones.

The help file on the phone says to contact your wireless provider for information on blocking specific numbers, doesn't seem to be baked into the phone.

I think asking your mobile provider to block a specific number is more suited for situations where you're being stalked. It also carries a charge. I am referring to telemarketing calls or sms texts. They have become quite a nuisance. I get about 2 or 3 a day. Once I receive one of these I want to be able to put them in a blacklist and have them permanently blocked. Its a problem that will afflict anyone running BB10 with a ported android app. Interestingly there was a recent news piece on Channel 4 which showed an android phone making 124000 silent communications in a 24 hour period. Why does a phone need to do that? I know any app would need to be headless but surely BlackBerry could integrate a filter into the BlackBerry Protect program. I have already sent this suggestion to their marketing department with no reply.
