I used to be able to use this but not fully -- I think because I didn't have the Playstore. I don't remember what part didn't work.

Couldn't an older apk from apk pure coupled with the Cobalt system make it work?

It's always possible, but versions that old tend to be rejected by the server.

It might but would require some work to find out. And it probably wouldn't run very well unless on a Passport.

If it's an essential app for you, use a supported device.

The truth is very simple. Only BB 's app from BBW would work to run smoothly and quickly other than from Android even though most of BB app from BBW have not been updated by developers.
Those app from Android are all web based and as such, they are slow moving and so, it is better to use android Based app in android BB smartphones.

not an essential app, nothing is essential really. Just was curious. Prefer to keep my passport than dump my passport for a dating app.

Well... At least that's a cheaper option than dating. 😀

The latest version to work on it without issue is 1.12. Messages from conversations sometimes appear in the hub, but you're better off going into the app to check them. The play store isn't asking to update it so it should be good to use.

Yes I have it installed, but that shouldn't make a difference because the app is running based on the runtime installed, which of course is 4.3 as well 10.3.3. Unless I'm mistaken somehow here.

Isn’t this app like Tinder? You all should be using fictitious profiles on burner Android phones..... Just remember I warned you... Chuck Finley used to date Ashley Madison and then discovered more about her...... LOL

A bar installed from chrome extension can be just as smooth. Web based doesn't matter anymore, I'd be more than happy to prove that. How many layers involved to talk to the hardware matter.

As of this 1P CET 09/03, version 1.12 is no longer working. I will try to find a later version and give it a go. Luckily I have an iPhone X coming Friday, so this will be my last week with BB 10 as my daily driver. First time off BB in 10 years; it was a great run.

Update: I've found versions 1.14 and 1.15 as well as 2.0. They're also a no go. It appears 5.0 Lollipop is now the minimum usuable Android version.

Well you definitely won't need to dual carry with that. ☺
