I'm using q10 whose battery life can be much better with dark background

I could set the dark background on Face10, Blaq, whatsapp, BBM, fb messenger, linkedin, cb10 etc.

However I can't set on browser. It is using white background always

I need a browser app where I can set dark background

I tried browsie but I don't like night mode because font is bluish

If you want to read an article with your browser, you can just press 'R' for the Reader Mode. You set a black background there. Here is an example:

I know this but I don't want to do every time. Moreover, many pages can't be rendered perfectly into this mode hence it says ' This page cannot be viewed in reader mode'

    Get Qbrowser from BBworld.

You do have the option to change theme to black, BUT since the webpages are NOT originally black, you will end up with some really stupid webpage appearances.

Here is USA TODAY with a black theme and how it looks with it's original page:

Here's one for you contact the web master of every web site in the world and ask them to rewrite their code making their backgrounds black, just for you. Come back here in a few hundred years and let us know how that worked for you.

Never considered it but it really is a simple and reasonable request.
Now that you planted the seed I wonder why it hasn't been provided as an option as of yet

Evolution Browser does the job with a night mode BUT haven't found an option to activate it constantly, you have to shortly pull down and enable it each time - perhaps if you ask the dev he could add this feature...

Hey there, I noticed you weren't too happy with the night mode. Could you please tell me what you're not liking in details? So I can improve this in the future.

Q browser but it can be more like a dark grey background. Lightning with inverted rendering is another one I use and it runs better on my Z30 than on my actual Android phone.

I really don't understand the request, to be completely honest. Reader mode works beautifully and, for the times that it can't render, that probably means that a dark themed browser won't render the page properly either as another user mentioned this does happen occasionally with Browers that do provide this functionality.

Really, how far is your thumb from the 'R' key when you are browsing that this means too much effort for you?

Browsie : Perfect execution with the latest update : night mode (press D) is pure black background. Also blocks ads, fast, native and best upgrade I have found for BB10. You can still use reader mode too.

    Thanks for ur response

I don't like multi colored fonts in night mode. I want white colored fonts only. And boarders are invisible in night mode because of which page looks odd and incomplete

May be an option in browser settings to set the font color to white will work here

Render mode will only work for articles. It can't be used in page overview or home page.
