You really shouldn't have lost anything simply due to this method being non-destructo, it's similar to that of an OTA update pushed by carriers
Yes, I know...but I still lost some numbers....The names of the contacts were there together with some of their contact info. But some contact info of these contacts were missing. I did not attribute this to the process of updating the OS, but maybe to the syncing process. My contacts sync with gmail.

Ah Ok I get what you're saying now, I had that happen with earlier OS upgrades just odd to happen with such a later OS

Moved up from 2072 on my 004 Z10.
Instalation went well with no issues.

The OS seems smoother and a little more refined. Slightly more responsive. Except for the whole phone app lagging when dialing out from contacts and when an incoming call occurs. Major bummer. First and foremost it has to be a top notch phone. Right now it misses that mark.

Droid apps run well. No real change noted.

    Worth doing

    Thanks for posting the Blitz!

So... My Passport keyboard (both physical and on-screen) doesn't work after installing this. Which is kind of a problem since my phone is password protected. Anybody have any advice?

Did you update from 10.3.0 or 10.3.1? Just learned that you should be on 10.3.1.1154 or higher

I was on 10.3.0. This is the first leak I've ever dared installing on my Passport. Sure would have been nice to know ahead of time that I wasn't supposed to upgrade from 10.3.0. So do I now have to wipe my phone and find an old OS to downgrade to? Does anybody know why upgrading from 10.3.0 won't work?

*UPDATE: 5 Restarts later and everything works. THANK GOD.*

Too large a jump. Usually when updating non destructively you'd use the coreOS. ,the radio and the files extracted from the debrick to give you a full OS. The debrick was not available, but those of us on a higher build were ok because our apps were already from the 10.3.1 branch.

I don't know how or why, but everything suddenly started working after multiple restarts. So I guess we CAN update from 10.3.0. haha Whew.

I used this Blitz from 10.3.0.1418 and it has gone well for me. I wondered about the "big jump" issue too but I figured that those still on 10.2.1 will be "jumped" to 10.3.1 non-destructively once the official release is active. I can't argue against those with more experience using leaks than me, but I personally haven't had any issues… so far.

I'm just relaying what I've heard. To those with no issues that's great, but for those with issues, it may be beneficial to upgrade to a higher OS.

Yeah I'd definitely recommend against it, just to save yourself from the heart attack. I was freaking out for a couple hours. Not worth it.

For all those having the problem that just the radio is updating not the OS.

Unzip the blitz and install the core os manually. Take care that you install the hybrid even if sachesi is warning.

After that install the blitz again and apps will be updated as well.

    That worked for me.

I loaded this one on my Passport but the OS version is still at 2072... then I went into the directory and check if there is an OS for Passport, the only one I can find is: qc8960.factory_sfi_hybrid_qc8974-10.3.1.2243-nto+armle-v7+signed.bar. The name started with qc8960 instead of qc8974 but it does contain qc8974 in that.

Anyone else see their OS stuck at whatever it was after loading this?

Take the hybrid file even though sachesi gives you an error

I took the risk and loaded this this morning over TMO official 10.2.1 OS. The blitz method of updating the OS is a stroke of genius as it automates the updating process. No more tedious autoloader method and this is even easier than the earlier sachesi methods. Kudos to those who are helping the blackberry community in this regard.

At first, the OS was slow, not very responsive, and jerky. Battery drain was fast and at the rate it was going, the battery indicator showed that I had 4 hours of battery left despite the fact that I was coming from a fully charged battery. But this was maybe due to the phone syncing. The OS became smoother after some time and battery drain slowed down.

There were several contacts that did not sync properly with the email they sync with. I lost some numbers. Also there's not much difference in the speed of launching android apps - still slow, but tolerable. No dropping of wifi signal. It helps that I have TMO's free router which is more than capable of sustaining strong signal throughout the house.

The camera cannot take pictures by tapping anywhere on the screen anymore. But now, there is a timer and panorama. Some apps did not work properly at first, like Hub++. But once they were updated, they worked like before.
Please make note of what phone you are using, it helps us.

Big Jump sometimes not good because every built possibility has different database, so the data structure can be different. it is not recommended not to do big jump

That's what I was getting, sachesi warning me wrong os core for my device. I said what the heck, did it anyway. Now everything works.

That's the reason why the blitz doesn't work on passport. Sachesi rejecting the right file for false security reasons.
