So I have recently acquired a Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch, now this doesn't run BB10 (obviously...) so you can't hook it up to your BlackBerry, but you can connect it to your Samsung Tablet, with this you can use BlackBerry Blend which will ping all of your notifications to said smartwatch, this works very well! The issue I am having is whether you can stop your tablet from logging out of blend when you're inactive for 5 minutes, as even when "remain signed in" is checked, it still persists to expire your session. If there is a way to do this, then maybe this watch is more useful than I thought...

Is there any way to stop the session expire? Settings or otherwise

Hmm, well, at least it is possible to get BlackBerry notifications on smartwatches... albeit through a cumbersome approach.

I believe there are smartwatches that can connect directly with BB devices - I was reading about a Pebble smartwatch user connected to a Passport just the other day: http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe.../#post11395419
but I'll hand it to you for finding a workaround for an incompatible device. I assume your Blend disconnecting issue is unrelated to whether or not you have the smartwatch connected?

Pebble isn't for me, it isn't smartwatchy enough

For my tablet, Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, once connected to the Galaxy Gear is continues to connect when going in and out of range.

The screen on the tablet must be off to deliver notifications to the device, you'll get blend notifications on your device before this, but for some reason they don't push until the screen is turned off (need to figure this one out...)

I'm listening to spotify in work with the tablet, with the screen off, with this blend doesn't disconnect (presumably due to the fact it has a constant internet connection!)

So... technically solved I guess. Just a few loose end bugs...
