BlackBerry: U.S. Carriers Not Hopeful On Z10, Analyst Says - Forbes
From time to time I wonder if anyone takes these type of content-free agenda-driven opinion pieces seriously or if they're simply intended to be picked up on by the mass media and to indirectly influence public opinion by seeding fear, uncertainty, and doubt.
This guy has probably never seen a Z10. If carriers didnt think they would sell then they wouldnt spend all the money and time testing the devices. SURE people are probably ging to buy more Q10s then Z10s... a lot of BB people NEED a keyboard. I LOVE my Z10 and I came from iOS.
You cannot make huge sweeping generalizations like this... especially when there is such positive news coming from everywhere else. AND ESPECIALLY when there are people willing to pay around $1000 for the device just ONE MONTH in advance.
We will see soon.
News pieces like this do, unfortunately, influence public opinion pretty effectively.
One good news on this front. It appears that T-Mobile is very keen on launching LTE soon as part of a massive effort to go back to subscriber growth and higher ARPU. T-Mobile really does not have as many LTE devices as Verizon or AT&T, so BlackBerry 10 devices will make a lot of difference in this area. T-Mobile's LTE-capable devices currently offered:
- Nokia Lumia 820 -- will require a system patch for LTE
- Samsung Galaxy Note II -- may need a software update LTE
(LG Nexus 4 is rumored to have T-Mobile-only LTE built-in as far as the hardware goes but there has been zero official confirmation that it can actually be enabled)
Devices coming soon, hopefully in time for launch:
- BlackBerry Z10 (and maybe BlackBerry Q10 -- no T-Mobile commitment at this time
- Samsung Galaxy S III with LTE support (NOT the current T-Mobile Galaxy S III)
- Apple iPhone 5
To launch a high-profile network with just five devices, all premium-priced, will be tough. Having any fewer would bordered on unacceptable and risky.
On bad-news front for BlackBerry though, it appears that T-Mobile is poised to compete directly with BlackBerry on enterprise side by offering white-label MDM solution from Mobile Iron:

Yeahhhhhh noooooo. Carriers want wp8 or bb10 to succeed because they don't want to submit to any demands just apple and android would want. If they didn't want them, why pick them up in the first place?

and if you take the dirt path to the local mobile hut...they have 500 q10's lying on the shelf for sale.
Considering the current demand for the BlackBerry Z10, anyone who has 500 Q10s laying on the shelf for sale is a fool. A small fortune (roughly $400K minimum) could be made selling those right now.
No stock in his favour = talk down Blackberry. Jeez, no class for this guy.
