I have have been trying to setup a BB Passport. I started a thread about transfer apps and several people recommended backing up apps from my Z10 and restoring to the Passport. Some of that worked some backups failed.

I now find that BlackBerry Runtime for Android won't initialize. I reset the Passport but still the same problem.

    Any suggestions appreciated.

I guess you didn't see my post in that other thread that it's not a good idea to restore the runtime. No need to as it's part of OS. It can corrupt the runtime if you restore from one device to another.

Only way to fix is to reload the OS.

Next time, do a selective restore and check all apps except the runtime.

Thanks. I done a selective backup of apps on my Z10 and I have performed a restset on the Passport. However the Passport cannot connect to BlackBerry to update the OS during setup. It tells me to be sure to connect to WIFI but I made those connections during setup and indicates that it is connected.
