BlackBerry likes to see itself as to 'keep moving' and offer convenience well this has been seriously missing in BlackBerry 10.

What is it I am showing you? Well the fact you don't know is scandalous. I am playing music right now and my phone goes to Lock. I need to pause or skip track but there is nothing on the lock screen so I have to log back in.

    This takes time.

So in 10.3 could we look to see this feature added? I know on iOS you have the option of having your music as the lock screen background.

In the future there is an opportunity for Flip Shush to rake charge of this. Currently it doesn't work when the phone is locked and not always. If you use the functions in the actual music app it kind of overrides Flip Shush's responsibility to work.

I agree with this - would be good to have it on the lock screen what is playing, be it something on the phone or streaming online from somewhere such as SoundCloud or YouTube.

But the volume up/down button is for that. Why do we need something on the screen?

You can use the side keys to stop/play skip to previous / next track and adjust volume all without unlocking the phone or even needing to look at the screen.

Middle button - press once to pause, press again to resume play.
Top button - short press for vol +, long press for next track
Bottom button - short press for vol -, long press for previous track

However it would be neat to have the the music player be on the lock screen. With the lock screen now being interactive any widget can be added to it.

This works fine for me as is. I love it because I can control without looking at the phone while driving.

This is how mine looks too. Just have to touch a volume key and there it is, on the lock screen.
Then I can touch the screen to advance, go back, pause and play.
Touching the album thumb nail opens the full music app, unlocking the phone. ( no password enabled)
    Seems ok to me.

I don't mind having to tap up or down to be honest. For those that do, perhaps a toggle option for it to stay permanently.

I think though that there would be more complaints about pocket track-skipping and unintentional volume changes if it were there all the time?

It would be good if that were to happen without pushing the volume buttons. Also if you're listening to SoundCloud it just says www.soundcloud.com and not the song playing.
