Think the general assumption at this point is that many of the apps that are missing will show up with the US launch.

This week Whatsapp lunches and that gave joy until we realize many still can't install it (myself included - currently using OpenWhatsApp).

It's like 4 different OS out for the different models and depending one you have you may or may not be able to install apps.

I am hoping BlackBerry is ready to deal with this as its an issue, which I am surprised hasn't gotten attention by critics.

It depends on the OS version, and that is up to carriers, not BB. The OS is already available, but carriers have to push it through. That's the only thing I've heard that is causing problems... if you have the updated software and still can't download, message the Dev.

Well it's not whatsapp...I installed a leaked os .648 and everything works that wasn't. I have an unlocked phone by the way

You can still install the latest OS through BBRY Link by by-passing your carrier. So its not like android OS update problem.
