I can log in from my pc but it is not possible to locate the smartphone or all the other functionalities..

just tested it on my Passport and it found my location as well as I was able to send the sound alert. Man that's an annoying sound!

Blackberry Protect is indeed still working, and will do so for some time to come as Blackberry Limited has indicated BB10 back end services are not EOL and they will be supporting them indefinitely.
May I ask what happens when you try to locate the phone on the Protect site? Protect is on on the phone side right?
