Hi,
I've bought a Z30 and when I found out that I wasn't happy with it I returned it back to the seller. Now he is emailing me that I din't remove it from Blackberry Protect and he wants my email and password (I have other devices paired with that account).
But before I returned the device I removed it from the BB Protect website and securely wiped the whole thing. Is it possible that it still wants my BB ID and password? What should I do now? I don't see it in my BB Protect anymore and I use that account on a different device.

Ask him for a screen shot. As to fixing it might have to change your bbid around a bit if it really is the problem.

You needed to turn off Protect on the phone itself before doing the wipe. The phone itself still has your BBID internally set and wants it to be input before continuing it's "like new - but still with an ID" setup.

Otherwise, the phone is basically a brick to the seller and worthless.

So I changed my password, told it to the seller over phone so he immediately inserted it and turned off the BB Protect and then I made him wipe the device again. After that I again changed my BB password.

So if there was anything wrong on my side this should fix it and leave me with a secured BB ID account. Right?
