On the 9900 I could still use my phone during an incoming call, with my Q10 I must either answer or decline an incoming call before I can use my phone... when you have a drunk ex that calls you non-stop for 4 hours the lack of this functionality renders my Q10 useless unless I disable my mobile network.

Are the android app call blockers actually working in 10.3?

With these call blocker apps, does the person calling you see that the call is being disconnected or does it ring and ring so they think you're just not at your phone?

Don't even need 10.3, you can download a call blocker in the blackberry world.

You have to block all calls or none though, but can still make calls.

You will see the calls as missed, it works by immediately declining the call, so the person on the other end will hear half a ring

Why would you not just swipe ignore? Maybe then she'll stop.

Op, this has been bugging me for about a year too. Hope the option to minimise the "incoming call" screen gets introduced.

This has bugged me a lot as well.

Don't also want the other person to know I'm ignoring them.

Swipe to the red side doesn't work? It does on the all touch devices. Or you can touch the center to ignore without immediately sending to VM. That way the person doesn't know you just dumped the call.

The call blockers on AW don't work, at least when I was inquiring about it early this year. If I remember correctly, there is an api that BlackBerry has not released.

However, all you need to do is to add that person as a contact and customize your notifications settings for that person to "silence" in sound, no vibrate, etc.

Pretty much what will happen is that you will not notice she is calling but you will notice you had a missed call on your phone and you will see it was from her.

If you get a custom led app, it gets even better to do this.

If a crazy person knows you are ignoring them (ie: swiping to the red dot) they may call for a longer period of time... these suggestions of "deal with the ex gf" are absurd, out of the box this phone can be rendered useless by a malicious person, thats like someone doing a DoS attack against your server and the firewall software provider saying "tell the person to stop it" as opposed to using technology to prevent it.

I still want to be able to use my phone, ie: write emails, browse internet, etc... I don't want to sit there till the call stops to be able to use my phone again, this is my productivity device, I want to be productive.

Sign up for youmail. Set a custom voicemail greeting for that person as a phone ringing. Get a call blocker from app world and add them to it. Problem solved!

Even better, set their voicemail greeting to a "this number is no longer in service" message.
