+1. Somewhere, several people a day are buying up new old stock BB10 phones to retain some degree of de-Googled privacy.

I can almost see some crowd-funded entrepreneur buying a licence from Herr Chen to make BB10 'secure-phones' :-)

Rather give to Google than hackers using an unsupported old device with security holes everywhere and a browser that doesn't work correctly.

Yet there isn't. Not a single company or group on the planet has wanted to licence BB10 from BlackBerry.

It’s true that android phones and iPhones, become more popular in the youngsters but it doesn’t mean that BlackBerry is dead. As we know that, Android & iPhone have more options as compared to BlackBerry, even that BlackBerry is very much still alive. Of course they don't make their hardware anymore and their hardware is now outsourced from TCL. Hope BB will introduce something new in future.
We 'know' from a recent YouTube talk from Alex Thurber that there are 'more' BB phones coming down the line in the next couple of years, though licensed designs. We also 'know' from A.T. that there have been some approaches by third parties to build licensed BB10 phones but BlackBerry insist, rightly, on controlling every aspect of the phone's design and security. Their contracts are long and difficult, says Thurber.

Also BlackBerry currently have three licensed partners building phones and are open to others.

So A.T. says 'Never say never' and there's a forthcoming 10.3.4 update 'this year.'
@conite said: "Yet there isn't. Not a single company or group on the planet has wanted to licence BB10 from BlackBerry."

This is contradicted by A.T who says that licensing BB10 is an extremely complex affair involving hardware fabs like Qualcomm and software engineers, and there are always 'many' approaches for licensing BlackBerry devices being rejected. BlackBerry 'will continue to support BB10/QNX', says A.T. (May 2017)

What is evident is that no-one on here knows whether BB10 is dead or merely awaiting a prince to turn up and start kissing frogs.

What's also evident is that there seems to be a lot of 'output' on CrackBerry dismissing BB10 as an O/S, when in the real world it still works extremely well in secure-enterprise and Gov/NGO environments, even on older hardware like Passports and Z/Q phones.

People who want a social networking phone to post pictures of their dinner on Instagram; there's plenty of choice, even from BlackBerry.

So, not dead yet, despite the fictions posted on here. :-)

I agree with you completely and stay positive!! Unfortunately for people who have faith on bb10, there seems to be lot of trolling against bb10 when someone expresses their faith and happiness of owning a blackberry!! That's sad...
