- Hi, I have a blackberry DTEK50 that's stuck in a bootloop. Could someone possibly send me the old autoloader if they have it? I understand that it basically is just a phone-bricking app at present but let me explain why I'm requesting it.
I've seen that Blackberry doesn't doesn't have any autoloaders available for download, & I called tech support just to confirm such (pure desperation).
I've read through the posts and understand that if the phone has a newer OS than that of the old autoloader then the update will fail and the phone will be bricked. Luckily my phone is bricked already so there's nothing to lose! :-)
Furthermore, my situation is an unusual one in which the old autoloader actually has a chance of working.
You see, I recently fixed this DTEK50, it was unused for the past couple yrs because the screen/digitizer broke & made it unusable. When I attempted to update it I got "update failed", so it's possible that it may have an older OS than the autoloader.
I'd greatly appreciate if one of you guys can send me a link to it. It'll be nice to at least give it a shot before I chuck the phone into a bonfire.02-07-20 01:19 PMLike 0 -
- Dear Community,
I got a Leap and was trying to wipe it with a autoloader by several post I found here.
Then I got stuck in the mode with the 2x red blink light.
Tried the autoloader posted here, but also receive a communication timeout error.
I found one autoloader where I could proceed to 8% writing, but then also looses connection.

- Download and unzip autoloader to PC, plug in your device, and run the autoloader. Your device will be wiped in the process.

Once on 10.3.3 you can't go back to 10.3.2 or anything older.
Just install the latest:

But I'm looking to go back to the last 10.2.1 update, but I cannot for the life of me find the autoloader link for it. I'd really appreciate some help. It's mainly due to the call volume being lowered considerably on 10.3.1. that I want to go back to 10.2.1. Is the latest 10.2 version 10.2.1.2228 or should I go with 10.2.1.1925?04-21-20 05:32 AMLike 0

What many people have done is use a really, really loudly recorded ringtone.
Btw, you should be on the latest 10.3.3.

With 10.3.1 if I switch to desktop mode in youtube, I can play videos even when minimized, or even when phone is locked with screen off I can listen to the video and adjust audio or pause with side buttons. Does the browser still have this ability in 10.3.3? Because modern phones don't seem to!04-22-20 06:53 PMLike 0

- Hey Conite. The craziest thing happened. I did an OTA update to 10.3.3.3216, and a few things stopped working properly, dictionary wouldn't pop-up for misspelt words, keyboard input was lagging a bit, CPU usage was spiking to 40% every couple seconds, call volume was still very low. Bit of a wreck, but still usable.
I used it for a couple days then did a Security Wipe. And would you believe it fixed ALL the issues including the call volume!
The crazy thing is that the phone came with 10.3.1 from the factory, and had low call volume to start with, which did not change after updating to 10.3.3, but after the security wipe the call volume has jumped, I can actually get the speaker to distort with the stock ringtone it's that loud.
Anyway, I'm just really happy with my Q10 now. I haven't experienced any double typing and the phone is smooth. First and foremost I love BBOS10's features and layout. I feel very lucky. Just wish I hadn't read so many nightmare stories about 10.3.3, when it could all be resolved with a security wipe.04-25-20 12:32 AMLike 0 - Hey Conite. The craziest thing happened. Since it has downgrade protection, you can't go back anyway.
It's also the only version with both the Krack patch and the Broadcom patch. So you wouldn't want to be using anything else.05-22-20 05:20 PMLike 0
