Has anyone in here been successful in running os 10 on a different device like a nexus 4, or on any android phone?

Because it is a secure OS. You can't even root it on it's own device so how do you think you could get it to run on another device.

It's only made to work on BlackBerry hardware. No way around it. Especially since only BlackBerry makes the software and there's no way to modify it.

If you say that it can't be done on the grounds that it is a secure os i'll have to take your word for it.

How blackberry is the hardware? Is it like apple hardware is to apple?

It would be interesting to run this os on something in the same terms as what a hackintosh is to apple. I'll name it a hackberry now someone else should figure out how to do it. It's only fair since I came up with the name.

Why are you laughing/ doubting that? Don't ou need read the news or even CrackBerry main page? Its the most secure device out there currently, that's why it's approved by NATO

So, you'd like to run an autoloader to flash BB10 onto a Nexus device? That's an odd request, given hardware isn't exactly what's killing BB10, but lack of apps are. You'd be rendering the Nexus device... an ugly device.. useless for the one thing it's good for... the play store!

Why isn't Apple's IOS running on other devices then? Think about it long and hard. The answer will come to you.

To me it's just too similar to all the times people have told me that Apple has the safest, and most secure os (immune to virri, doesn't crash, etc.).

Like with any other os/device it's only as secure as you make it. Just relying on company claims of security is ridiculous to me.

I'm not bashing on blackberry I like the os, and I want to know if anyone out there has attempted to make their own "hackberry".

Apple designs their own is hardware maybe? They aren't using a snapdragon processor, or adreno gpu.

I would like to flash any other device with bb10 (maybe a nexus). It had nothing to do with apps just something that might be interesting, aren't you curious to see how bb10 would perform on a quad core snapdragon?

The nexus 4 in my opinion actually looks decent thank you.

Now have you attempted to do this, or is bb10 such a sacred os that it would be blasphemous to attempt to run it on a different device?

I think that even if someone were to figure out how to install BB10 onto a different device, component support is hard-coded into the OS. So unless one can run that quad-core Snapdragon using the exact same firmware as whatever Qualcomm chips are in BB10 devices now, then I doubt that quad-core Snapdragon would be of any use.

They'd also need to code in support for the chip controlling that 41MP beast...
