I've tried already 10.3.1.1154 leak and none of the new features worth upgrading for me. Also, none of the apps I use require 10.3.x OS version. Not to mention that some useful for me features are simply removed from 10.3.x, like tap screen to silent, touch anywhere to take picture and calendar agenda view.
Agenda view is in 1154 if I'm not mistaken

BlackBerry is thinking like this probably with regards to the upgrade paths. But unfortunately if you don't like the new "upgrades" there is not much you can do. I'm happy to give them a little time since the platform is only 2 years old and need to time to build devices and such.

    Q5 > Q10 > Classic > Passport
    Z3 > Z10 > Z30 > ??

Some people. I have no complaints from Z10 on 10.2.x OS. Everything works well. ...
If you don't read the entire post, don't quote me.

I hear your frustration., but as a Z30 user I am still quite happy with my phone on official OS 10.2.1. I'm sure we will see a Z50 mid next year, and you will get 10.3.1 in Feb to hold you over until then. Feb is not that far away.
It's not bad but I know what I'm missing. That sucks. :/

Updates are optional. All I need to do is disable "Automatically download and install updates" in Settings and the problem is solved. Done already.

Then your comment makes no sense because I addressed your "some people" comment. My whole point, you missed.

From a security point of view that is bad practice.

In theory you're right, but this is not a big concern for me. Hackers may feel free to steal the invoices I'm sending to my customers. May also try to send me a cheque, I don't mind. My business is not related with secret services, drugs trafficking or weapons sales. Not yet...

Why so long? Are they still working on 10.3.1?

    Posted via CB10
BlackBerry OS 10.3.1 - As most folks should know by now, the first batch of BlackBerry 10 devices such as the BlackBerry Z10, Q10, Z30, Z3 and Q5 haven't received any iteration of BlackBerry 10.3/ 10.3.1 as of yet. The plan for those devices was always to move them directly into 10.3.1, and that's still going to happen. As we learned during the BlackBerry Classic launch Q&A session, that will start happening in February. Now, even though that's an official timeframe from Ron Louks, President, Devices and Emerging Solutions at BlackBerry, it's still subject to all the usual caveats such as carrier approval and roll out. 'February' is a starting point not an exact date and that's important to remember because it likely doesn't mean come February 1st, everyone is going to have 10.3.1..

Funny. Just realized that most vocal frustration isn't for 10.3.1 but Blend missing. Then, it makes sense. It's so awesome...

I'd love blend if it was a web service... since I can't install any applications to my work laptop
    Forget BlackBerry link/ desktop software!
Also I don't have any Android tablet since my z30 is everything for me.!

I think many people are trying to read to much into this, I have a feeling 10.3.1 will launch with the "RIO" which is supposed to be launched in February. I might be wrong obviously and I hope I am. All we know for sure is that I will definitely be here within the next 6 months lol

And that's how you put off customers. Service is as important as the product itself. They don't even have a good marketing and this unknown release of the new OS doesn't help at all.

BlackBerry needs to say a word now, either a specific date or a fixed month. And then stick to it. I thought they didn't want to imitate Apple but they do with this 'mysterious' release date.
