I strongly believe BlackBerry must transfer its experience with Priv and BB10 and BBOS to every Android user.
BlackBerry must offer (each for a reasonable price) :
    1) a secure Android to every Android user no matter what manufacturer produced the phone.
    2) BlackBerry 10 iconic features (like Hub) must be offered to every Android user
    3) for those who want extra security, BIS must be available again.
All three above suggestions are a software matter and will bring money.

    BIS doesn't provide extra security.

What additional security BlackBerry has been able to bring to the Android OS is dependent upon their root of trust secure boot system which isn't available on all other Android devices. It also present loading non vendor ROMs, which would be seen as a negative to many current Android users.

No one would go back to paying BIS fees. Carriers especially want it gone. And as mentioned there isnt any additional security with it either.

BIS doesn't support LTE: it's a dead or dying solution that was built for a 2G and earlier mobile landscape.

BBM Proected for free would be a good start - like always, they are too late. BBM had such a huge potential and they killed it...

And if they did this it would damage Blackberry sales even further? There whole name is about security. If you want security then buy a Blackberry.

    1) Stuff like hardware root of trust is physically impossible to retrofit into existing devices.
    2) Maybe if they shape up the Hub first. And besides, once it's out there one can just share the APK.
    3) What year is it?
