I take issue with the ETA on BlackBerry maps. It always feels like it's not accurate.

    A tip
I THINK if you have "traffic data" turned on in location settings + ignore BlackBerry maps and drive the route you normally drive, maps might learn about the street.

For example: with BlackBerry traffic it would always tell me to take the main road, but there was a side road that was way faster. So, instead of listening to BlackBerry traffic, I took the side road. After taking the side road once (with BlackBerry traffic running), everytime (traffic pernitting) it has routed me to the side road.

But then again, I feel BlackBerry traffic was best navigation service available. Etas were wrong the first few times, but after a while it learned my driving style and it would have my arrival times accurate to within 2 minutes, even on my bike
BlackBerry maps could they not use crowd sourcing to improve their system? Waze uses that and it diverts me to roads that I had never thought of before. It has saved me a lot of time on the road in certain instances.

Can you add voice packs to Mireo? Tomtom can do that. Just curious.

I think tomtom is somewhat better than bbmaps. Both are poor though compared to here or Google. So 2010 with archaic details and dingdong graphics / layout

the turn by turn on BB10 is awesome because it's not the stupid birds eye view like every other maps app. That is probably one of the things I actually like about the maps app.

They should update it to make it looks like Mireo since that also has a nice turn by turn, just has many more features.

    Tried out Mireo:
-Presentation is a lot better than Blackberry Maps.
-Seems to have less battery drain than Waze.

    Dealbreakers though...
-No street names in voice directions, they really need to add this....
-POI/address search does not auto default to your current location. This is really annoying.

BlackBerry Maps is indeed crap for me since we don't have navigation enabled here in Romania. Why is that? I have no idea, since the maps are pretty decent, I can only see the maps and get some written directions. At least there's some progress, last year we didn't even have a map . Maybe in 2015...

I really like Navigator, its an android app that allows you to download offline maps for most countries around the world. Its VERY handy for travelers when you are only relying on wifi.

I find BlackBerry Maps maddeningly inconsistent or just plain wrong. Side loaded Google maps instead and works well on my Z30. I hope they fix BlackBerry Maps as I prefer the UI.

Found another bug. In my country, when clicking on establishment map link in 4square app, maps open and the "nothing found" error message in 100% of the cases.
