I haven't used Link in a while but want to try something so I am attempting to open the application on my WIn7 machine. The black splash screen (black background w/BlackBerry logo in center) opens but the app itself never does. I've done an uninstall/reinstall but no luck. Has anyone else run into this issue? Thanks.

No problems here. Have you tried going into the control panel first and then uninstall? Reboot then install

First launch from icon down by clock. Then launch from start menu. This worked for me

Success, finally, so I thought I'd post my findings here in case someone else runs into the same problem. I opened Task Manager while Link was 'hung', and noticed 3 BB processes running in the background and taking up a lot of memory. They were Auto Updater, BBLink.exe and RIMBB Manager. I killed each process using Task Manager, went to uninstall Link, then noticed that all 3 processes had restarted themselves and I could not successfully end them. I think that was causing the uninstall to fail.

So I rebooted and before any of the BB processes had a chance to launch, I deleted BB Link from Control Panel > Programs, downloaded the latest version from blackberry.com (1.2.028), rebooted the computer, ran the installer for that version and success! It wasn't 100% smooth, but at least and at last it's running fine now.
