Just used this not even a month ago and all was well.
Running win 8 on my laptop but DO NOT allow auto updates (since some are pure garbage and I've been burned in the past being unable to revert).
I did recently update iTunes and Adobe. Could it be one of these??? Not sure how it would be iTunes seeing as I uninstalled it to test. Didn't help. BB Link still gets a windows message ".....stoppped working"

Any help would be HUGE as I'm trying to restore my Z10 for my kid to use. Can't even do a backup without BB Link, am I right?

    Cheers all

    Even uninstalled, it's likely iTunes.

“BlackBerry Link has stopped working” after updating to iTunes 12.5

Searched for the iTunesPrefs.xml files per the link........ not found. Likely because I uninstalled itunes.
But if uninstalled, how can it still be itunes?

Try uninstalling ALL BlackBerry found in control panel. Then reboot. Then download and install the BlackBerry Blend / Link / Drivers and install.

    Just worked for me.

    Good luck.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll give that a go.

FYI to others...... just uninstalled ALL itunes/apple files from control panel. There are literally NO apple files to be found. Link still doesn't work.
The blame on itunes seems to be pure horses**t.

Nope. No dice. Link busted. With no hint of an expectation to fix. Link is even gone from their support download page now.

Essentially, Blackberry seems to be pretending that BB10 never existed (what a damn shame) and has cut loose support to their legacy customers. Loyalty zero. Heck, Apple even has previous releases of itunes going back before win7 officially available.
What a precedent for a company to set forth. Why anyone would put stock in the KeyOne after this example, I am dumbfounded.

Did BB Link have a separate installer? I only recall it being part of BB Desktop.

I got mine working in Win 10 after renaming the infamous iTunes file. So, not Horse****. But, it took me a while to find the file.

I'll search for the file then and give that a try.
.....not sure why the file would even be there after uninstalling ALL itunes and BlackBerry programs though

I had to go into Users > My Name > App data > roaming > Apple Computer > iTunes. The file in question, iTunesPrefs.xml, is right there. I just renamed it. Link then worked.

Useless in OSX, I didn't touch anything and the day I want to use the it I can't view my hard drive files.

Tried all the possible fixes (uninstall, clean the application preferences, reinstall)

    NOTHING!
